I have adopted a Japanese Spitz for a year and I can never understand how could the previous owner left her. She’s such a loving dog. She’s smart, funny, playful, doesn’t bark much, doesn’t require a lot of grooming or physical activities, and never shows destructive behaviors. The only flaw I recognized is that she can’t stand being alone. Whenever I left her alone at home, she would become sad and anxious and look for me at the front door all the time. She’s also good with cats and kids and she can be with other dogs but doesn’t play with them.
Yeah my dog did that a lot. It got so bad she started hurting herself trying to leave my apartment. I had to take her to a dog trainer
I have two Japanese Spitz girls named Terry and Tara. Huge white furballs of energy yet very protective when it's needed. They do get along with our Lhasa Apso and a rescued senior mutt dog.
I have one. I love it. She sleeps with me every night in bed. And barks to who ever come close to the house.
love you japanese spitz❤❤
My father brought me Spitz and I'm super loved because he choose this breed for me I want to see him as soon as possible ❤️️
I just bought a spitz shes just 51 days old cant wait for her to grow up beautiful like yours 💖
I lost my Japanese spitz 2 years ago.. This vid reminds me he was the best dog
I used to have this breed of dog in my younger days. Such a beautiful breed.
Great video! I'm so excited, I'll be getting one in the next couple of months
Loyal, Playful and Smart for the Japanese Spitz! Especially the playful part. Nice video! 🥰
Thanks for making this video all the info I was looking for! I have Japanese spitz too 5months old.... keep it up...
I have two of them. They are full of energy, intelligence, cuteness and loyality. They can identify good and bad people easily. The best cute comedians for all the good people and the best demons for bad. 😍️
I’m thinking of getting a JS myself, mind if I ask you a few questions about the breed, as an experienced owner? I’d really appreciate the insight.
Great video!! Very informative! I really want a Japanese Spitz! 💖️
This brought back so many memories of my Japanese Spitz! I have a German Spitz now and she’s quite a bit bigger than my Japanese Spitz.
I am going to adopt one after 2 days excited!!!!! Thank you for the video
This was the first video we made - as we are also getting one! :)
Japanese spitz is super adorable 🥰
Yah they are a great companion indeed.
I also adopted a 1 yr old Japanese Spitz a long time ago (1982ish) and she was my close companion for 10 years. The previous owner was moving into an apartment and going to school and couldn't give her the attention she needed. I was single at this time and found this breed to be excellent in all ways (not really knowing what a problem or challenging dog was like). No health problems, loyal, very smart, not high maintenance, didn't bark for any reason. However my situation changed after I bought my first house (1991) which needed extensive renovation and took all my extra time outside of my day job. And needless to say she was neglected; and on top of that, 2 years later, I met my soon to be wife who was allergic to her shedding so I gave her to my mother. But since then, I've been acquainted with other breeds especially Aussies (my son's) which are also very loyal, affectionate and shed but much higher maintenance and bark frequently. And even though I also love those dogs, I've come to appreciate more now the Spitz breed.
I can’t believe you neglected and then abandoned a dog that had already had already been rehomed once. If a man came into my life and was allergic to my pets, he would have to go. Not my pets. You are a terrible person.
My wife would have to disagree, and I've been married for 31 happy years with 2 happy sons and 2 grand-kids makes me realize I made a wise decision. And my dog was never "abandoned" my mother kept her and we saw her frequently. You are an presumptuous, ignorant person. @@OakwiseBecoming
To be COMPLETELY honest I did do and/or probably will SOMEWHAT like the medium-sized versions of the japanese spitz and really LOVE the small versions of the Japanese spitz
Awe so cute! My family has 2 Japanese spitzs too! One is named Yuki and the other Kori (:
Aww, sounds adorable 😍
I’m thinking of getting a JS myself, mind if I ask you a few questions about the breed, as an experienced owner? I’d really appreciate the insight.
I had one of these he was awesome, tons of energy tho lol

Japanese spitz is a wonderful breed. Fur shedding and need to be with family are the only challenges.
my nine yr old japanese spitz just passed away this day dec.fifteen im so sad
I have a Japanese spitz named ghost I bought him from a pet shop in Osaka
🥰
Very much like my Japanese Spitz, but he is not so easy to control.
I got a japanese spitz and I was so happy that he'd be a family dog, but my family really dislikes him. The energy, the loud barking at night, the fur everywhere, the damage he causes sometimes. They want me to let him stay in a kennel outside, even though he's been indoors since he was born. I can't really do anything about it because this is my parents house, but i'm very worried because he has little space and will be separated from me therefore I can't offer the attention he needs. I'm just really worried if this will do him harm or if he'll enjoy having his own personal space.
I think that would be cruel for your dog to have to stay alone outside after having been a part of your home and family. It would be better to rehome him than to let that happen. Please don't let that happen. You love your dog and I thank you for that and know it isn't your fault your family feels this way but the dog should not suffer because they don't like him
@@natalielongarini229 But what if he goes to a family that does the same or worse. I'm afraid the pet culture in my country is not friendly at all. Pets do not stay in the house, especially dogs. They are mostly needed for security and never for companionship and people are not kind to animals, at all. Not only that but beautiful dogs like him are normally used for profit and breeding most of the time. It's just not something I wish for him because he's not property. I'm just worried he would move from a place where he is loved. Or maybe I'm just selfish because I really can't imagine my life without him and I've fought really hard to keep him. I let him out of the cage during the majority of the day and we go for daily walks, he only turns in at night when I give him his dinner. And it won't always be like this, I'm working hard to afford behavior training for him and once I move out we will be sharing the same space again like we always did.
@@fireworks_6549did this story have a happy or sad ending? Your family sounds really awful to me. I hope you weren’t forced to lock your dog outdoors. That’s an awful life for a dog.
is it possible for a japanese spitz to be a good guard dog? cause mine is
Haha! :D
Well my Japanese Spitz keep on barking at my cousins and they scratched some of my cousins and the only trick that my dog knows is sit
Are we not gonna talk about how it was written apanese spitz
Is it all Japanese spitz that don’t like playing, especially with other dogs? My dog loves to see other dogs and go to the park but never plays.
Is the Japanese Spitz good for security?
Yes. We had one since 2002. Now that dogs grandson is pur current spitz. They are kind and extremely loyal to owners. They bark immediately and always on guard.
prlce
I have a male Volpino Italiano, and i don't see any difference with this Japanese spitz, Just some size differences, hahah
My dog japanese spitz is not easy to train BRUHHH
Is it normal that japanese spitz bark so much...❓
Oh ABSOLUTELY 💯. I live in Australia and l have a Japanese poodle mix. Despite being the most loving dog we have ever had, he is a barker loke you wouldnt beleive. To the point we had to get a vibration collar. Now most dogs are meant to have the collar on for around 2 months . Then they brains are ment to know that if l bark l will get a tiny shock to my neck. Not my dog. 6 months on and the collar is still there. And no matter what he is still not fully house trained. No matter what we try have even hired personnel dog trainer. And he is very demanding. Mum always says sge is his personal full time butler. He is 5 now so we just love him as he is😊
