Amane Kanata, Hoshimachi Suisei, and Kiryu Coco decide on some house rules

- Oof, this was a rough stream to work on. Coco's generally hard enough to understand in the first place, ontop of her bad mic during this, and two motormouths make this my diciest work yet. I originally wanted to do about 24 minutes of this, but there was so much that I couldn't confidently hear that it was better that I omitted them entirely. The actual stream is great though.

Kanata's weirdly excited about sorting out trash.
Meanwhile in my student apartment ..there is 3 plastic of trash no one bad an eye until it smell....
@Shinidoshi huh where can I hear about it?
PPTrashmaster
I love how excited Kanata seems about all this. I wonder if it will be her first time living with friends?
I think she's just happy that she won't be living in a closet eating grass with no air conditioning
I think so. Honestly it's so nice seeing how excited they all are to be living together. I miss that feeling of living with friends or partners.
@@faenethlorhalien It's nice that Kanata is finally going to live with people that care about her happiness.
What do you expect from a girl that YAGOO found eating grass in front of his office??
I think it's also her first time living
Rule no.1 ) we should not all eat the same stuff. - Coco
Talks about food:
Coco “Oh you guys can trust my tonjiru skillz!!”
Suicopath “Curry is on me then”
Kanata “Guess I’ll make omurice...”
They totally forgot about rule no.1......
These are not laws, if it were, then two of them will never be able to anything.
Just guidelines, so that it lowers the chance of 2 or 3 needing is all at once. As its still possible from everyone eating different food for it to still happen.
At least that is what I thought.
Coco also they shouldn't need to worry if it's long cooked like tonjiru.
5:05 that very brief pekora laugh tho
She was possess peko
meanwhile Yagoo
"finally found another weakness of that Dragon, gotta write it down..."
Coco: *gets demonitized again*
Yagoo: "release the beeeees"
Kanata: I can take care of the trash.
True Tenshi indeed.
meanwhile in other branch of Hololive....they already start their living together experience under surveillance of a strict manager
Do you mean holostars or some other branch?

Doing your own dishes and laundry/cleaning own room/bathroom are all good ideas when living with roommates. Eating separately prepared food is completely fine too.
The concern is what to do about shared spaces or shared prepared meals? Who cleans shared bathrooms? Living area? In my experience, there's usually imbalance in who is responsible for creating shared space mess as well. Especially since different people have different tolerances for what constitutes "messy". And if they are eating together/cooking for each other from time to time, how is that balanced? It is possible to say 100% take care of your own meals/trash too (I've had that sort of shared living arrangement before), but it sounds like they want to actually help each other/do these things together sometimes. These are pretty important things to figure out and it didn't seem like there a clear resolution to that amongst themselves? I.e., clean your own dishes, but I am making group meals more than you guys, so why am I always cleaning the cookware too?
You can talk all you want beforehand, but sticking points will almost certainly come up. Need to be open to continuous communication and compromise, and not letting minor annoyances build up into giant fights when living together.
All of them seem pretty responsible on their own, kanata is a clean freak, coco has been living on her own for a while, and susei is like the onee-san for her onee-chan. At least I think they'll keep things clean around the house.
@@primelover92 Yeah, I don't doubt they can work it out. More important than being clean is being open to communication and compromise which I think this video demonstrates. I'm sure there will be some sticking points that need to get ironed out as they go along is the main thing, whatever they may be.
@@SaladinG14 I think one of the rules on the original list when it was just Kanata and Coco moving in together, Coco said if anything bothers you or if there is a problem just say it right away or it will probably turn into a bigger problem later.
Coco went to to an American University for college according to a stream, so I'm sure she's used to the whole roommate thing. Living with two responsible Japanese grown women sounds like a piece of cake in comparison lol. The hard thing is they're all vtubers so the challenge is making sure their living situation doesn't bleed into their work and turn into potential drama.
Keep in mind that Japan's culture is massive on how your actions affect others, so that tends to result in everyone agreeing to on what's too much mess.
At least I think.
As for shared spaces, this wouldn't be a problem if everyone accepts that they aren't God, and can be shit at something and because if this are always trying to become better in all aspects of their lives.
Not just get upset that someone finds your way to be rubbish.
oh so this is where the "won't be sharing food" rule for their holohouse came from.. so it's just a joke about getting stomachache all at once.
Pretty sure they do share food anyway, which they already did when Aki and Choco joined them for their night party.
Wait, Coco was stung by a bumblebee? What did she do to make it mad? Those things are super chill.
They normally are, but years ago I watched my dad open a package that somehow had one packed into it. It was pissed and stung him right in the neck.
I got stung as I was finishing up a mowing job this past, I must have stepped really close to it, because it attacked my ankle. The stinger went right through my sock and he wouldn't let go. I have no idea how I pissed him off, especially since I just got done mowing with a 700~ lb mower in that exact spot he should have flown away a lot sooner. Anyways, that little sting made my ankle and calf swell massively, I was limping for a week and a half. Ever since then, I try to avoid anything that is black and yellow and has a stinger.
looking forward to 1 hour roach screaming stream.
you can see who is your true friend when roach fly straight at you.

Thanks for the translations~
Would love to see more subs of this stream~
6:06) They bring up rice from Gohan no Sato here, and specify it's the pre-washed stuff. But the context of the conversation doesn't make much sense to me, washing rice literally only takes 30 seconds. Googling didn't help much either, I got results for both instant rice (like instant curry or Uncle Ben's ready rice) and just normal pre-washed rice. "The new one" doesn't help much either because Japan's not great at recording release dates when it comes to new products. So I went with instant rice to make it easier to understand the conversation at the cost of accuracy.
9:05 - Kanata brings up something called Black Cap (short for capucina I believe) here. I'm assuming it's a branded roach bait according to the context. Googling gave me pictures of cockroaches and I wanted to cry.
9:55: I'm 50% sure the scream at the end here Suisei is saying かわ, as in かわいい. Not こわ as in 怖い. Unfortunately 50%'s way too low on my confidence test and I don't want to potentially spread the idea that she likes spiders if I'm wrong. That could just be my bias towards spiders showing though. So I translated it like that to leave room for interpretation.
Thx you did a great job!
Even if it isn't 100% accurate it doesn't matter because we will get what is meant through context.
And that part with you googling black cap actually got me lmao.
I'm really enjoying these comments of yours, it's really easy to take translations for granted. A lot of nuance goes into it! Keep up the good work
Guessing black cap is this one: www.earth.jp/en/products/black-cap-sukima/index.html
I heard 「うわ蜘蛛」so just “woah spider”
I'm guessing Gohan no Sato is the instant stuff you can just chuck into the microwave and have ready in a few minutes
1:10 everyone knows that Coco has to go since she's a competitor in the RTA toilet leaderboard
Trashy Angel is adorable.
I really glad you translated from this stream now more makes sense
Thanks for these translations .
Kinda confused about their rules for chores. First they mention that they'll take turns doing chores, but then immediately after agree that each person will only take care of their own dishes or clothes? So if it's Kanata's turn to do dishes, she'd only wash her own? Or like, would each person that day take turn washing their own dishes? Or it wouldn't be until the next day that Coco washes hers? I'm lost.
These are not laws, so if coco is washing something and Kanata only has maybe a bowl and spoon, then of course I'm assuming coco can & will do it.
I also assume its a "if you make a smoothie or something, don't leave it an absolute mess for me to walk into if its my day for dishes." In my student dorms, we had to specify that to some of our roommates.
In essence, a "don't take the piss" rule
They will wash their own plates and clothes I think, so regardless who is in charge of cooking that day (assuming they gonna eat at home since they also decide who cooks what), they will wash their own plates after that (probably taking turns) same thing regarding clothes, at least from my experience of living together that way is more effective to avoid friction regarding chores problem like Coco mentioned early on.
Are like, Cockroaches really common in Japan or something? To put them on a list seems like they are an inevitability.

That's one strange angel.
There are two types of people. Be who are good to know and bad to live with, and people who are good to know and live with.
Everyone should strive to be good to live with as being good to know is simple.
Edit: I'm also amazed at how much they like each other so soon. It hasn't even been 2 years since they met each other, and are already soon moving in. This never happens in the West does it? Especially if their are no sexual relations involved. Living together makes everything in life cheaper & easier. And I'm guessing they or Japan understand that.
Not exactly a super uncommon thing in the west. Unless you're talking about the East

amane kanata, trash angel... but only in the best way possible.
Now that I think about it, I’ve only ever seen dishes washed by hand. Do they not have dish washers in Japan generally? I’m guessing it’s just an appliance they do without. Obviously people don’t need dish washers, but I’d have to believe they’re more common here than over there.
Im not japanese (still asian), but in south east asia we mostly wash by hand. We only probably use a machine to dry the dishes, but even then it's still rare. I suspect japan wouldn't be so much different from us
I'm in canada and every house has a dishwasher, but I'm sure most people still prefer to just wash by hand (atleast when I go to other people's house). It's so much easier and faster imo, unless you live in a house with 5 other people that don't wash their own dish, then yeah a dishwasher is the way to go for those situation.
Yeah, dish washer is extremely rare in Asian countries.
Tbh I haven't really seen one till this day
Interesting, just one of those little things that never really comes up in conversation.
Probably mainly a matter of space, most houses and apartments are very compact, their bathtubs are about the size of a washing machine, and they usually shower directly on the floor. You can do without a dish washer but you can't really do without a kitchen sink.
Japan is pretty weird like that, in some ways they're very high tech, but their houses aren't properly insulated most of the time and they still use fax machines.
is miko gonna live there too? i think i heard that during the birthday stream
I heard Watame, Miko, Rushia or probably FBK. I don't know anymore
No, Coco, Kanata, Susei and her sister Anemachi will live in two flats on one floor. Suisei and her sister in one and Coco and Kanata in the other. They wanted a house but people are prejudiced against youtubers in Japan and they had a hard time to find something. And Anemachi did not want to live without her sister.... Some thing they talked about in this video are obsolete. That's the announcement they made : ua-cam.com/video/wsTXXpIsqwk/v-deo.html
I saw a translated video where Miko was saying it might not be a good fit for her because of all the rules, but she would still talk to her grandparents. Or something, idk, 'twas a translation after all. I also saw a translated video where Rushia asked for more information about getting a place in the same building.
Wait, bumble bees are not usually agressive, what was that meme dragon up to
No, but remember she's from the U.S. it's quite common for certain bees, especially Bumble Bees to hang out in people's front or back yards depending on the context.
For months in my front yard there's always this one stubborn Bumble Bee that I've yet to find the nest it comes from, it's not in my yard, nor in any of my neighbor's yards. It just randomly shows up from time to time, so true their not very aggressive, but they sure as hell are curious.
It is pretty easy for us non-bee experts to confuse bumble bees with other types of bees that _are_ aggressive
Can someone explain the joke at 9:44?
How did suisei get included in this house rules making? I thought they are living in separate units :/
This stream was well before they even considered living in separate units. Deciding that it might be a better idea didn't seem to happen until a month later when they began talking to landlords and kept being shut down.
