Set 13 will be every previous set mechanic mashed into one single set, calling it now.
To me the only complex thing about TFT right now was the visual aspect of it. Like there's a lot of games where i belike "where my backlines goes?"
That’s not the visual aspect, that is gameplay. (Unless you mean something else by “visual”?)
@@sagittariusa2145 He means its not visually clear what happens in a fight hence why he doesnt notice his backline dying
I feel some units just completely lost identity because of the skins, as a person just starting to play the set it’s kinda confusing
@@bjsk6109 character identity change all the time, neeko goes from a frontline tank to a backline game all the time, you learn and adapt
@@bjsk6109 i felt the same as you so know what you mean. its the hardest set to find champs to add to the team planner because all of the chosen skins are so similar/not very defining. sure, when on the board they look different but still.
it really says something when ive been playing league for the last DECADE+ and im having issues discerning champs from other champs
One hint to reduce complexity, don’t add 40 artifacts.
Fr such a dumb update, like add max 5 or so. They’ve now made portable unpickable past 2-1 bc there is a greater than 50% chance if you’re already committed to a comp you can’t use any of the artifacts offered.
Im fine with them. Most have easy text and is easy to slam upon a unit. Support items on the other hand… even for me who’s at the top 2% of the ranked players, I have issues both maximise them and properly understand when its correct to pick one.
Its especially complicated with vendor sentinel portal…
@@simonnilsson8375 to be honest too 2% is like diamond no? Support items are fine. Context im GM/Chal usually around 600 LP when I play the game.
@@cartermandel4284 2% is master and up.
@@simonnilsson8375 checked lolchess M is top 1.5%
there is plenty of interesting things that can be done just within the scope of unit abilities without resorting to extra systems. We saw that in set 10 and although not called out, it was really cool, both mechanically and visually that I felt was lacking in set 11
also portals good, augments good woo
for real, this set has felt so insanely RNG heavy. I feel like my games hinge so wildly on so many small random things happening in the right order. it's a very fun set, but when i win I feel like i just highrolled, and when i lose it feels like i only lost because i lowrolled some aspect of the game. im sure im making plenty of mistakes, im not a high level player. its just that previous sets felt a little more like my knowledge and (limited) skills made more of an impact than just my RNG.
This is an interesting take. First off tft is a game with lots of rng, by design. But this set more than others? I don't feel that way at all. Last set was wayy worse with chosen/headliner lottery literally make or break your comp. You can only angle towards so many outs at your roll down and if you missed you lost.. this set its much more controlled by your actions throughout the game.
To add to that, there are an insane amount of pivot potentials with how good the balance is right now. AP & AD both have plenty of lines.
What if you bring legends/heroes back not as an augment selector but as actual champions that provides certain team buffs? And maybe you can build them with additional abilities as the game goes on? Idk just an idea.
oh wait keep set 12 mechanic permanently will make boss angry? that means that its something cool and have big impact (hopefully)
One mechanic that I love and wish they'd make permanent is treasure dragon. A way to reliably get that last item component that you really want... and Chibi Nautilus when?
Its hard to get back into after i stopped playing for 2 years
i feel like stuff like the new ornn items, while cool, should not be kept being added.
Ornn items are too impactful considering how many and how rare they are, and with no way to check them out until they're already out on a live game, if you want to engage with ornn items as a mechanic, you have to go through the 20something item list and think about each of them and which weird comps they enable
They were on the PBE server for a good while for testing
My problem with set 11 is the amount of RNGs, shop roll, components roll, augments roll, encounter roll... yikes
dont forget how some portals also give everyone rng items or sentinels!!! so fun and balanced
@@carolinemendell1963 that's been going on, encounters mechanic is another layer on top of that.
@@tsworkshop.models you literally mentioned shop roll components roll augments roll which all happened before as well? so i just added to the list
Is that true tho
yup
bring assasins back or any way of backline acess instead of the only backline acess being mages lmfao
AGREE
so like trickshots? or yone? or maybe you mean irelia? not sure what do you want specifically, this set has way too much backline access, probably the most out of any set. Literally the only comp thats honest front to back is like maybe syndra
@@hubapecsek6284 set 10 karthus and lux and this set lux. and you are right terenie are a lots of backline Access but thats the point. melle assassin should be the main way not mages and adcs
I hope support items will be removed. I do not like them, they are not impactful enough to influence the way I play, but are too impactful to ignore.
Edit: To everyone saying I am bad: Do I not have a right to play this game? I do not grind this game like crazy, there are other things I like to do.
Bro what? Just say youre bad
@@magnusfolke8091It's a fair complaint. My issue with them is that they're kinda clunky and very finicky with positioning. I also think the support item portals or training dummies have a MASSIVE amount of variance. You could get moonstone and flame but the sentinel has no HP so he runs in, dies instantly, and you get no value.
Also losing to zephyr feels so bad, even though that's absolutely skill issue
Low elo cluegi
@@WeR2VEVO yeah you position all your units together for aegis value then get one shotted gg wp
I liked encounters a lot, best mechanic since augments even if Im not a casual a i consider myself a high elo player
what's your lp, drop your lolchess
@@itsaboutdrive gm peak, at least master for last couple sets
I think they honestly could get rid of creep rounds and just give players items, gold, and extra planning time at the start of a new stage. Plus no more questioning whether other game features count creep rounds as "rounds"
I hate the fact that I agree with this...
Facts
Is so rare creep rounds are ever a threat
The only time is when youre loss-streaking 39gold on krugs and you ask yourself ‚these 4units are enough, right?‘
I stopped playing. It is fun but I’m finding myself doing homework before playing to even stay competitive. (Diamond 2 peak)
If you find studying to be competitive too much, then you're not a competitive person, you're a casual.
@@LaroshSZLA solid reading comprehension
so basically, you want to be competitive, while also doing minimal effort... good luck with that. Only ppl who are born talented can do that. Personally I don't recommend it, its a lonely life.
So I’ve reached my mental peak with this game is what you guys are saying? If so I’m cool with it.
@@galaxygoldenwouldnt call it mental peak but u must know tft is a very knowledge based game, someone can tell u abc comp is bad or you can figure that out your self after losing 10 games with it and 100 lp, does that make sense?
Legends is still the worst tft mechanic btw
I’m actually sad encounters are being pulled. Many of them were a lot of fun and I enjoyed the variance.
I loved encounters, but all the ones that completely flip the game on its head were too intrusive imo (e.g Zoe odd levels, Azir/Lillia augment rounds, Kayn ending game at 5-4)
Generally encounters suck, 1 or 2 are good
@@WeR2VEVOi agree 100, love encounters except for ones that completely alter the game, like being able to put 7 units on the board from lvl 1
@@WeR2VEVO I actually really like the ones that change the game a lot, except lillia just because of how common it is. I like the extra level of skill expression and adaptability it adds to the game, and how it actually makes the game different instead of a good chunk of the encounters that barely change anything or literally do nothing. I’ve played a couple hundred games this set and I’ve gotten kayn twice, and yorick and zoe once; if these encounters were more common they would get pretty annoying, but they aren’t. The ones that I don’t like are the ones that only help specific comps, like khazix or yorick that reduce leveling/rerolling costs
@@WeR2VEVO I feel the complete opposite, I liked the gamechanging encounters the most because they force you to adapt
Legit what is complex about tft? In the past the only set I played (Set 9 i think) I just followed a Twitter thread and reached diamond with like 90% top4 rate. I guess maybe the game changed but honestly can’t think of something
Congrats you played the least skilled set that ever existed. It's the only set that had the legend mechanic meaning you could predetermine your augments and any noob could just play TF into pandora and force garen or whatever was OP at that time. Also there was no emerald at that time meaning Diamond was still extremely easy to attain. I'd love to see you try to have the same results now
THE MORE STUFF ADDED THE MORE FUN AND THE MORE BETTER PLEASE DON'T REMOVE STUFF
Not true at all, more isn't always = better
@@Caimon7 no, not always haha I'm not saying that. I meant with TFT it's better my boy
@@Dave-gw6wh yes i meant in tft aswell 🧐
@@uhqliss8537 why is it horrible then? I think it's boring to downgrade it now
lmfao its become way too simple if anything. only support items are new, but we used to have to deal with zephyrs + blitz hook, assassins all the time. positioning was a thing when most skills had a description for where they would hit. now its just dps race every time
I don't think its getting too complicated but its starting to feel less intuitive as before.
lol what a joke. They’ve dumbed it down but also added more luck to reward bad players and bad habits
Elaborate?
Im here just to say that i got 3rd place with 10 mithics! Keep on balancing the game! You do GREAAAT job! Probably you need 25 years more to pu balance! I will wait!
Okay, but what did you lose to? I've gotten 4th with a 3 star 4 cost, but I lost to another 3 star 4 cost. Is that a balance issue? Not necessarily...
@@MrJsintic Lost to the RNG man. There was another guy playin mithics and on lvl 8 he had 2star Hwei and Lili full build. I was forced to build infinity edge on a 1star Lili because i dont have any AP items.... the RNG is what drives the game. You cannot fight with it! I just face it!
The RNG needs a balance! Thats what i want to say!
@@icakamadafaka7292 For every game you lose to a high roller, someone lost to YOU while YOU were highrolling. Did that person claim RNG needed to be balanced? Hopefully not. They likely said "next game will go better, I played to the best of my abilities this game."
I'm with you that 10 Mythic isn't as strong as it could be, hell, I beat 10 Mythics with a simple 3* Ethereal Blades Shen build. I don't think that's balanced, but blaming RNG for everything that goes wrong is a delusional mindset to protect a fragile EGO.
@@MrJsintic Stop thinking like you know everything! YOU ARE NOT! Calm your tits down and believe it or not the biggest issue in this game is the RNG! And thats it! Tough to swallow? Keep on swallowing until you are done! Dont try to teach me or show me something! I already know it!
First? Wow.
it's not complex, it's the illusion that your decisions matter when in reality a lot of it doesn't, or that it matters a lot less compared to past sets
- positioning
- unit choices
- greeding items
maybe this means they'll finally remove portals
no? mort already said that opening carrousels (and by extent, portals) will never be removed
If they want to add something else, fine, but Opening Carousels sucked in comparison
@@augustocabralbueno6722 sadge
just get rid of encounter and portals and exalted and then add 1 or 2 new things on top of what's already in game even if its similar to something like portals or encounters but not exactly the same. that way you keep the core and depth at least I believe anyway.
Probably encounters but portals and exalted should definitely stay. Exalted especially is definitely the best thing that came out of this set.
This guy thinks average player age is 13 or something? And imagine this game has e-sports. What a "good" company :))
ture lol
The main audience of the game are casual players. They’d lose a chunk of their playerbase by making the game not easy to understand. Are you deaf?
@@hatezomm If any body calling this game at "complexity limit" he/she is probably below average IQ. Losing these players is fair.
