Get the right spells and items at the right time and somewhat lucky with where enemies spawn. All these near 2 million pint runs have lv8 or 9 magic missile by the time the first boss appears. After at least a hundred runs, I don’t think I ever had lv 6 before the first boss appeared (with sky) even when using all my rerolls. Maxing magic missile as early as possible a must. To go for max points. O, and getting some magnets for the near the end is also very helpful of you are lucky enough to get a few near each other .
Great content, thanks for the addition of comments allows us to understand better why you do what you do, just a quick suggestions, there are points where text is too long for the duration it appears, imo increasing duration would be a nice improvement. Also could I ask why do you not go for venge aghs and go skywarth instead?

Watch my tips&tricks video. Now i really believe high FPS is super important for extra 10-20% points. I do believe pickup extender is important in late game, where your movement is restricted. I just dont like it earlier as corridor solves that for you before min 7. Apex is less important than pickup range. This build is pretty ideal for me. If no annihilation you can go for bat/lina/wisp

I don't think fps makes much of a difference as long as you are above 60. i realized yesterday that I can full screen. which increased my fps to 230. while in small interface I get 130. yet on 130. I scored 1.8m but on full screen I went max 1.7m lol

I had some serious damage from that spell (not to mention the increase it's supposed to give to the rest of spells), but was never lucky enough with my rerolls to get it during the good runs. Currently sitting on 1,891,000 and hoping to breach 1,9m by the end of the event Good luck to us all!
Good luck! I had frostbite with aghs few times as 6th skill. It wasn't good - I try to avoid it now. Maybe without aghs. Late game you have to move in circles and while you are at one side opposite moves towards you. If too many mobs are frozen - they don't move and might even despawn. Even in last 30 seconds of the run stunned (venge) and frozen enemies deal damage if you run into them. While push-back from Sky's Arcane Bolt does only help you to survive in last 30 seconds, other two crowd controls are rather harmful for a high score run... In my opinion :)
Throwing out an idea, instead of completing trident try to get apex before your 3rd aghs and go for frost bite as a 6th skill prioritizing it above arcane bolt. Almost broke personal best of 18m until I accidentally bump into the reaper and died while trying to get to a magnet the last 20 seconds. Worth a try!
2 million needed from you. that chinese guy 1.97 didnt seem like a fluke. his gameplay was looking real good and he seemed to be in practice. i wonder if he was able to break 2m

Depends on wave 100-200 FPS. Also I don't think FPS makes that much difference at this point - I have a friend reaching 1.949 having not so amazing computer specs

Depends on what you mean by "beginning" =) If you have seen my tips&trick video - you can see how I split the expected points by every minute. Not knowing how do you play, I can only tell that using Damage Reflection and Mortimers out-of-screen spawn kills might help you get more points earlier. If you are not using the corridor - that could be a problem with picking up the loot. For killing skeleton you get 70 points; for picking up his XP - another 70 points; that skeleton can also drop gold - that is even more points. So being efficient with pickups is important. Also there is a theory that drops disappear after some time (I've seen a 70seconds number, but it might be different or false at all). If this is true - you need to time magnets, so nothing disapears with potential points it provides.
Dude. for past 3 days after watching your video. I keep scoring 1.7m like in 8-9 games today. 1.8m i scored 3 times. my highest is 1.826. i m unable to beat my own record... the reason i m trying to beat that is because... i did not complete trident in that one yet scored 1.826. but anyway. i m trying to break 1.9m what to improve to push 1.8 to 1.9.
Try to play with settings and make as much FPS as possilbe. I do believe this matters for last push - I had issues with FPS 3 days before this video and it had achieved nothing over hundreds of tries - basically lacked points in random times for no obvious reasons.

basically my video settings don't seem to have any impact on that... non maximized gameplay window. I don't know what to say. limited window gameplay. like my full screen works at 240 fps. while the non maximized screen works at 120fps. idk why. In full screen game is much much smoother and liquid but the creeps are so so big. waves etc. you do have better precised movement but overall holistic view gets disturbed. sort of like you're playing dota then. lol
I play full screen on a 24" 1080p monitor I am not sure about FPS. But I have and idea why it might help. I also have an anecdotal evidence with my personal experience and some comments I've seen under my videos
nothing helps in this game more than praying to the gods you believe in. Infact my person experience says, it helps if you believe in all the 2M gods and hope a few of them are not happy with you so that you can settle for 1.946M score.
If you saw my tips&tricks video - there is a table for points at every minute. It's hard to say what went wrong by the minute 9. Weeks before I locked on my build I was comparing minute by minute different runs trying to understand when and what I can improve.
2mil seems impossible, i only just managed to get past level 7 with 1mil score. i must say your runs seems to be very lucky with magnet drops and skills so i assume you have been grinding many many runs to bring us this example.
I have a short which shows it does. Also was pointed out at it by redditor and made a research. It seems like it works. Also I still have feeling it maybe be do no points for "old pickups", like the ones laing on the floor for over 2 minutes lets say. I don't know for sure

Idk why but I always got bad result at the beginning. I had everything: First array, early magic missie, stay in the narrow corner.... and almost max upgrade. But by min 5 I always got some levels and about 100k points lower than you. Any tips pls?
In general I can suggest to get all upgrades maxed out. Another general suggestion would be to aim high FPS: lower in-game settings, overclock you cpu/gpu/ram. Good luck!
I tried Knife with Aghs as 6th skill few times - didn't made a dent in late game's score. Could be just anecdotal evidence, but I don't have whole life for testing this =)
I think you might be sleeping on knife throw, with the specialist and kanda it does amazing dmg.. probably a better aghs then arcane if you can get apex in time.

I do believe Timeless Relic (or Bat's skill) is important at least stages when your movement is limited. World Chasm > Apex - are 2 best items for those "2 empty" slots

I do try to max out Mortimer's Kisses first.

Some drops are picked up with delay: chests, magnets, cheese (considering flying animation)

No it is false. You get all points in 10 seconds after picking up magnet.

Im struggle at 1.7 before last boss. My record 1.85, but can't reach 1mil before 3 miniboss spawn. I fixed fps, but still

There are 3 boss spawns. In a single game one never trigger twice.

magnets doesathings you get from magnets doesnt increase the score afaik

You’re not killing fast enough at the end game. You really need Knife with infinite piercing
