Hi Johno, I am into year 6 of owning my Suzuki Vstrom 650..would like to upgrade .I would love a Yamaha 850 Tracer, which is on my radar.More Hp than the Vstrom 1000 and lighter than my 650,more room for the better half and I can give those litre bikes a fare scare too!
Just depends what you want to do...70% of NZ roads are not sealed...hope I helped you mate!
By the way ,I rode my brothers Vstrom 650 around Hawkes Bay at Christmas time!Loved it!

Kenevan Taylor the Vstrom's are great bikes and looked at them a few years back, I kind of what to go for some thing with classic looks but can Tour 🙂

Don't do it Jonny! I made that mistake years ago. I know it may be tough, but keep your old bike and find another way to get your new one. You may want to pass the old Beemer on to your son. It would be a good bonding experience.

Gobo Win I totally agree, was sad to sell it. The next bike will probably be a keeper I hope going to take my time

Yeh ! I know exactly how it is, I loved my old R80 and rode it to Scotland a couple of times before selling it and moving to the States. Now I have a Kawasaki ZRX1100, which I won't sell, I will just expand my collection. I hope you keep riding though, cos I sure have enjoyed the vlogs. All the best.

Don MacKinnon hi Don, I sold it in Jan 2017 for around $5500 , I bought it for $5000 back in 2014 so they go up in money. That was in New Zealand and this was in mint condition. seen them sell for way more though
