  • 2021 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE, Enhance Your Ride: NEW TIRES!
After making our first adventure trip to the Cossatot River, we confirmed that the tires on the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk had to be upgraded. The street tires were rough, noisy and low traction on unpaved surfaces. I also wanted to go a little taller tires size. I went with the Falcon Wildpeaks in size 265 65 r 18. This was around 1.5 inches taller. I know many folks that use these and love them. The ride is great, quiet and plenty of traction can be had with these tires. The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has more towing capability and room than the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. When I used the Iceco 60vl Fridge in the Cherokee, it took up most of the hatch space. In the Grand Cherokee it fits in the hatch space with plenty of room for more gear. I show this in this video. In fact there are several more storage areas for gear than the Cherokee has. I am also surprised that my fuel mileage is better in the Grand. The fact that it holds more fuel and goes a further distance between fill ups is awesome. I always made sure the Cherokee was topped up before entering the forest because of its small 15 gallon tank. The Grand holds 24.6 gallons and with better economy last longer. The extra options I show in the video are nice. I think all Trailhawks should have the jeep pages. I was sad to find out my Cherokee did not have them. We have them now though!. The ride is smooth and I look forward to our adventures with the Grand Cherokee.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has a few things that make it a better option for overlanding and camping. If you like gear, you like more room to haul it.

Ive always offroaded with a 2wd pickup, i was in the market for something 4wd that didnt need many mods to perform and get me up and down the mountain with great storage. I am located in arizona btw. I wanted my first jeep but i wasnt sure i wanted a wrangler yet. Test drove and looked at a 2018 cherokee trailhawk with the i4T and a 2014 JGC Summit withe the 5.7. I chose to go with the grand cherokee of course like most would but for the same reasons you list in this video, storage and towability as well as the awesome features! Ive done quite a few mods from chief products and some leveling links with a little taller at3w as well! This thing crawls wherever i want it to with ease and i will keep forever! Air suspension delete swapped to a lift on coilovers coming soon!

Nice. I like the air lift. As long as its under warranty, I will keep it.

Thanks, I took two harborfreight racks and made one. I used the center section on one to expand the length, you have to cut a inch off so it will slide together. Then I cut the front off and welded it to the front of the other to add a bit of character.
