With configurable workspace now, isn't method 2 obsolete? The "New" button in workspace creates a new M2M record, which could house custom fields. Using m2m would also elimate concerns of licensing.
We have an M2M table that is not part of the exempted table (ua_exempted_table_inventory), and I can see it is listed under ua_custom_table_inventory. That means it needs a license. However, as per our requirements, I should delete the old M2M table and create a new one that should not require a license; it should be part of the Exempted Table inventory. I followed and created new M2M table but still it is no part of exempted inventory list , can i help me how to do that?
I THINK I understand the problem, but I'm not 100% sure there's a solution. From what Docs says on exempted tables, I don't think its something you can just decide: docs.servicenow.com/bundle/washingtondc-platform-administration/page/administer/subscription-management/reference/grandfathered-and-exempt-tables-v2.html
you can de-facto read the m2m tables. They're ACTUAL tables in the database, so all the same rules apply. You don't "gs.log()" against a table. You do that in a script. So I don't understand that part of the question.
@@robertthedukefedoruk5607 yea you're right I was complicating it for myself thinking I had to to some fancy stuff. I'll sub just because you're responsive and quick. Thanks

Method 2 will never be obsolete.

How can we read and gs.log() or whatever the records that are in m2m table?
