Another great flyover, thank you Tom! I am nostalgic for Tigertail as I ran from the rocks at Cape Marco to the edge of TT and back to train for the Chi marathon a few years ago.
Thanks, Patrick. Very Cool! That's about 3 miles one way if I'm correct. Our youngest just ran that marathon in October. And Maria ran it in 2006. Me..... Never! LOL
@@evolutionaryTom according to my phone gps on the strava app, it was 5 miles with the curve, and the beach was much different back then, almost touched hideaway. Felt like a ruck march through the sand!
Hi Tom, when we were on Marco on Dec 20th they were telling people the beach was closed. You can see the orange fence at the very beginning of this video so heading north from South Seas that was the intended stopping point (orange fence). We went past it a couple of times for a longer walk but guys on gators would periodically head past the orange fence and ask people to turn around and informed us of the closure. We probably would see about 15-20 beachgoers trying to take walks in that area. Some would turn around when asked and others wouldn't. Some para-surfers were really debating the closure with the person on the gator. It was unfortunate because that is our favorite part of the beach for daily walks. Thanks Randy
Hey Randy. Thanks for the info. It makes sense that people who come for the beach, and that area inparticlular, wouldn't let a little sign ruin their time here. Seems like there's room enough for everyone. I'll try and get that "barrier" the next time I fly for an update. It will be interesting to see the project come together when they are about finished. I may ask the city if they have a rendition of the finished project. You and Angie take care and stay warm. We'll see you down here soon.

Thank you so much for this video! We can see it so much better! The beach is closed but many people go around the fence!
You're very welcome, Kay. Yeah, I guess no one is going to let the project ruin their vacation or walk. I think there's enough room for everyone.
Thank you for the update Tom!
What a project! Great job, Tom!! Thank you!
Thanks. You are very welcome!
