Lived in Mosborough 40+ years ago - Tony's Chippie still there ? Tony was an Elvis look alike !!! used to walk down the Moss Valley regularly - never knew the history - fantastic video ! Keep posting !
Haha. You know, I must have run past there loads of times and never noticed it. I only came across it by chance. I was like you, expecting to do a few laps to try to find it. But once you know.....it's quite obvious.
Used to explore these places as a kid. There were remnants of light fittings in the corners of the bunker during the 90’s. These were lit up during the evenings of the bombing raids to attract the enemy bombers overhead. At least that’s what we were told back then...

👍 thank you.
Yeah good old Tony's. I've not been for a few years since I moved house, but I do miss those queues 😄
Found this today. Almost gave up after walking around in circles for about 30 minutes. Great little find and more expansive than the Seymour one!

Shame there isn't much left now. Fascinating history in those woods.
Bit late to show on this playing catch up .my grandad told me that about big lights in forest can't have been much fun for Eckington folk...top review
👍🙂 fascinating history down there.
And you're right. It must have been difficult for Eckington folk knowing they were unwittingly in the firing line.

Sound as farfetched as a lamppost in woods
Oh wow. I had no idea about that. Shame there's not more made of that.
😄

Many years trial and error running around overgrown paths 🙂
I founda 1800 old smoking pipe near the building
