    Lived in Mosborough 40+ years ago - Tony's Chippie still there ? Tony was an Elvis look alike !!! used to walk down the Moss Valley regularly - never knew the history - fantastic video ! Keep posting !

    Found this today. Almost gave up after walking around in circles for about 30 minutes. Great little find and more expansive than the Seymour one!

      Haha. You know, I must have run past there loads of times and never noticed it. I only came across it by chance. I was like you, expecting to do a few laps to try to find it. But once you know.....it's quite obvious.

    Used to explore these places as a kid. There were remnants of light fittings in the corners of the bunker during the 90’s. These were lit up during the evenings of the bombing raids to attract the enemy bombers overhead. At least that’s what we were told back then...

    Bit late to show on this playing catch up .my grandad told me that about big lights in forest can't have been much fun for Eckington folk...top review

      And you're right. It must have been difficult for Eckington folk knowing they were unwittingly in the firing line.

      @@WobblyRunner another random one in 50s a jet crashed in hackenthorpe/ birley Silkstone area...used2 be a plack down there ...gone now I lived at frecheville late 70s

      They are in the woods near the old pit building near the new pond
