My Uncle was the UP head student engineer that morning. He always tells me stories about his life working for the Railroad including that horrible incident. And yeah The UP head end engineer was a hero the ATSF engineer too. I wish both of them received honors for their actions. Great Video btw!
The lead unit is in Erie, Pennsylvania
And the 3nd unit was scrapped in 2021
