Hey, guys. Sorry that the pictures in the video were so low quality. It was only after the video that I actually got a trainorders account, so most of the photos are really low quality. Trying my best to fix it right now.

Good also we dont know the crew engineer and conducter from both extra 5981 and extra 9186 but however we know the names of them there names are most likely 27 year old Nick Gibson the enginer from extra 5981 north
37 year old Harold King the Conducter from 9186 south also what happened at cima hill?

I believe that there was also a brakeman (or student engineer) on 5981. Doing some small research on this wreck, I might cover it in a later video. Thanks! Cima Hill is the site of three runaway trains. In 1980, a UP work train ran away and collided with the rear of an express freight train. In 1997, the crew of a UP grain train accidentally shut down their engines leading to a runaway and derailment. Lastly, in 2023, 2 engines and 79 cars separated from a massive coal train, ran away, and derailed doing almost 150 mph.

how fast would the train got if it was at full throttle

That would be crazy. My guess is exceeding 110 mph. Glad that didn’t happen…

Um hey mango the one? Wasnt the sp alreally taken over by the up in 1996 cuz the merger of sp happen in 1996 before this runaway occurred?

So likely 9360 would've been patched and renumbered after the merger before being sold of to ltex

@@MattTheAllertor125 yeah. By that time, it was owned by the Union Pacific, but I just thought it would be simpler to call it a southern pacific locomotive as it wasn’t actually patched by the Union Pacific until the early 2000s. You’re right, though. It was already owned by the UP at the time, but when the merger happened, most people would say that those locomotives were still owned by SP until they were actually patched / repainted.
