NO FINER actresses could have played these roles. EVER. They're PHENOMENAL together.

Wish we heard more from Geena, but still enjoyed listening to Susan with that big ol' brain of hers. Stunning, wise, deep thinker. Triple threat 💔

What is missing here is the complete LACK of acknowledgment of the writer - female (only 1 % of screenwriters are) - CALLIE KHOURI who REFUSED to change the ending for anyone.

Agreed. I think that is ACTUALLY the #1 detractor when it comes to Thelma & Louise interviews. The lack of mentioning Callie Khouri. The fact that even Susan & Geena don't even mention her bothers me.

@@benschaeffer8102 Well … or it gets EDITED OUT which is perhaps the thing that happened here??? It hadn’t occurred to me when I saw this before. Too annoyed. I cannot even imagine that these two women IN PARTICULAR would have not mentioned Khouri or that fact. HOWEVER, in this interview, it sounds as if they believe - or at least Sarandon does - that the something-special-about-this-film was what they brought to it and the script had little to do with it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@@gina.1 Yeah, I definitely considered that it could have been edited out, but Sarandon is DEFINITELY the type of person/actor that DOESN'T let herself get edited like that if you know what I mean. And yeah their chemistry was EXCEPTIONAL and brilliant but it ALL would have meant NOTHING without Khouri's screenplay.

This movie will go down as one of my favorites. I felt everything those women went through. No I'm not Jeff. I'm his wife. But before I met him I encountered a few very bad men who got away with some really horrible things. And I clapped at all the times those men got their comeuppance.

It would be disrespectful to ever remake this masterpiece. Keep it alive by showing it during domestic violence awareness month!

Love these two and I love Thelma and Louise, but they should of took the outfits that they are wearing in this interview and left them at the bottom of the cliff

So Sarandon's input is all over the final scene with the truck driver. This was my least favorite scene; sappy, moralistic, too much talk not enough show. She always had a sculpted face that entrances for all its remarkable beauty. It is part of her great allure. She enjoys being desired for her physical beauty, but she resents being objectified for it. But being a life long socialite New Yorker with a bit of education, she fancies herself qualified to express highbrow opinions and she often grounds these within a gyno-centric feminist theory. Like the truck driver scene.

What an odd comment. You talk about Sarandon in a creepy way. Why do you think women should have to tolerate being harassed and spoken to the way the truck driver did? They held him accountable. The same way many women wish lecherous men would be.
