You know, this sketch didn't make sense to me until one day when I was cutting a hot pizza fresh outta the oven with a cold knife. When my hand touched the blade to push it in, I thought I was getting burned, then I realized it was just because I could feel the steam, so my hand thought the knife was hot. It's funny how half-assed our bodies are.

Beyond that, he beat up Jake for reading Amir's scripts, for not buying Amir sky mall shit, and he tried to throw Jake off of the top of a building for being a good friend and confessing that his girlfriend is trying to hit on him

I don't get the Murph hate. He's kind to Amir and has gotten along with Pat and Emily and everyone else he's interacted with in the series, except Jake. Jake tried to punk out Murph by throwing a tennis ball at him and Murph saw through it. Plus by the time Murph debuted, Jake was no longer a good guy as he evolved into being a try-hard douche. So him also being a bitchly when it comes to Murph standing up to him makes sense to me. Plus, it keeps Jake in line to some degree, especially when it comes to taking advantage of Amir.

The thing he was mad about didn't happen, he was never hurt and suffered no damage, he just got super surprised and essentially fainted which is still bad but not even close to what he actually went through so while he was owed an apology (which he got by the way) Amir actually DIDN'T deserve quite as much hate as he got this time around.
+Simon Steves going into shock isn't even close to being the same thing as fainting - it's a potentially fatal condition where the brain doesn't get enough oxygen... many people have died from it, often after traumatic events like car crashes.
