For me, all of the songs on this album feel like they are directed towards that part of the fanbase that always criticize everything they do since Meteora. They knew the backlash towards Emily and their return was coming and this seems like a preemptive strike.
Ngl this song sounds to be directed to the “fans” who were dragging LP during their last album, as well as them now acting like they “love” Chester so much even though they booed him and threw trash at him when he sang songs off their least favorite album and now they’re acting like Emily is the devil. Idk maybe I’m reading too much over it
