I just wanna let ya know that its not actually a "Linkin Park Music Video" (technically it is, but..) Its for the World Championship of the game "League of Legends" The characters in the video, is the animated versions of the actual pro-players that participate in the championship. Video is made by Riot Games.

yupp so you can actually put it as: Emeliy has a big crown to wear after Chester, and Faker (the best league of legend player in the world) has a burden to bear because hes the first pro player in the Esports, which makes it a burden per se to live up to the expectations that it brings. So the song is about Emily and allso the LOL player Faker kind of :)

Emily's 15 second scream in this is actually more difficult than Chester's 17 second scream in Given Up. Chester changes his note 2/3 through but it's much harder to sustain the same note.
True! Emily’s scream is like the marathon of vocal endurance, while Chester’s is more like a sprint with a fancy twist. Both are impressive, just in different ways-like comparing apples and really, really angry oranges!
Scream was 16 seconds.
Technically she start the sentence before the scream so the air needed to do all the sentence plus the long scream its around 16 secs, absolute madness! Great job and amazing song. LP it's back baby ❤🔥🔥
Yeah, afterwards I realized I should have counted the "This is what you asked f..." part. I was timing just the straight fry vocal on that one key. 😻

The last LP song was great, but i feel this song is more amazing for Emily. It really shows what Emily can do.

I cared and after the first shock in July 2017, I got angry at Chester for leaving his band in such limbo. Did he ever think of his family, band and fans that fatal day ?! I know he missed Chris but it felt that we were not important to him. I was, however, never a Chester fangirl but loved Mike‘s rap in the first place and the unique metal-rap sound of LP.
Animation is actually done by talented Riot Games team and the song itself is the anthem for League of Legends Worlds 2024 which is sorta World Championship. Video features the best of all players who are now participating in the competition and also obviously the band members.
It's an annual event just as Anthem with its video clip is.

Love how the song reflects both on Emily and Faker (The face and icon of League of Legends). The crown is in fact heavy for Emily to carry the heavy expectations of Linkin Park fans, as well as for Faker, to defend his championship title once again after all these years being on the top.
Totally get what you mean! Both of them are carrying some serious weight, but they totally rock it!

loved the reaction the song is amazing I really enjoyed it. It even had my daughter going and she's not a big rock fan. I am not sure how familiar you are with League but in the video each person was portraying a character they play in game.
Wow, if we can convert a non-rock fan into a fan with just one song, we might just have to start a League of Rock! 🎸

new to your channel, i appreciate your takes. I had some thoughts on your response to this video. First, I think the animation style and story in the video is all about the 2024 Worlds tournament, and not really about LP. I do think the lyrics are totally related to LP's ups and downs, but probably not about Emily's Scientology stuff. I'm sure this was written and filmed before all that came out. Lastly, her scream is longer than 14s if you start it on "This.." not on the word "for", imo. Love the content, love LP.

My father once told me that Linkin Park was a great singer. However, LOL officially stated that it was a Faker tribute MV. The excessive criticism among game fans is not good, but I can only see that they used Faker to promote a singer named Linkin Park. Currently, LOL fans and Linkin Park fans are fighting, which is Riot's fault. It's not right to fight each other.
Sounds like we need a peace treaty between the LOL and Linkin Park fans! Maybe we can negotiate it over a game of rock-paper-scissors? 😂

Seen people hate on her performance on this song live cause she only did it for like 11 sec…but then again they performed this song at the end, so you gotta give it to Emily to even do a 6+ second scream after performing a full set live. Kudos to her!

Long time LP fan as well. I’m sure a lot us, fans, has the same reason of how much the band means to us and how it impacted our lives. We ALL grieved and a lot are still grieving. Controversies aside, it is unfair for Emily to get all the hate she’s getting regarding the MUSIC. It is an IMMENSE undertaking to take on the role she’s taking place for. She understood that. We all seen that. She was BRAVE and did the best she could. As evident she got more confident and comfortable she is doing much better in her live performances. At least for me, I am happy for the rest of the band to come back together and do what they love… make and play MUSIC. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who got emotional for their return. Fans of current and former need to focus on just the MUSIC not anything else. We all have the choice to press play or not. The band has moved on and supporting fans has as well. The band has moved forward and we all need to move forward. There are plenty of other bands to listen to. There are still millions of fans and continuing to support them. The hate needs to be laid to rest.
Absolutely! If we could all just press "mute" on the haters and crank up the volume on the music, life would be a lot easier! Let’s just rock out and leave the drama for reality TV!
