Amazing tips. Currently, I struggle with cooking. I was wondering how you manage that? do you outsource that as well?
I'm glad you liked the tips! I'm glad you mentioned cooking! This is something which I was going to cover in this video but I didn't end up talking about it as I wanted to keep the video short and snappy...
Cooking does take a long time so I try and reduce the amount of time I spend on food prep by eating the same meals 90% of the time. This limits the amount of time that I spend a) thinking about what to make and b) actually making it.
For breakfast I have cereal (takes 2 minutes to pour).
For lunch/dinner there are two meals that I rotate:
- Organic vegetable soup and just heat that up (takes 3 minutes on the hob/microwave) and have it with bread.
- Salad with 5 ingredients (cucumber, tomato, tofu, olive oil avocado, beetroot) which takes less than ten minutes to chop and prepare.
I experimented yesterday with batch cooking yesterday but it took me much longer than I thought it would to make the food as I need to invest in more/bigger pans! This is a good option though if you can get the initial cooking time down to a minimum and then freeze/reheat during the week.
You absolutely can outsource to companies that do food delivery - I don't personally do this as I don't think my meal prep takes very long at all. If you decide to go down this route make sure the meals are healthy!
Thank you. That was helpful.
