Good Ass Job was about to come out regardless, but then Ye said "fuck it, no skits" and cancels and sells some of the songs. Eveything else that was supposed to be in GAJ ended up in MBDTF.

This is top 10 in my list of albums, so much nostalgia. Brings back to when I listened for the first time and I was SO SHOCKED at what I was hearing. It was so different for its time but the vibes became classics.

I've been listening to all his albums again recently and I think 808s, Yeezus, and Graduation are his best albums. I would argue Late Registration is tied for 3rd. I honestly didn't like MBDTF that much. Maybe I just need to listen to it over again but there were so many features on that album, I feel like Ye didn't get enough room on his own album.
This album is so important for the rap genre. If it wasn’t for this album rap would look very different today. If it wasn’t for 808s & Heartbreak I don’t think there would have been a Travis Scott ( my favorite artist) or migos etc.
