I don't know if it is because you watch a lot more movies than me, but for me, that Sita = Noor Jehan reveal was genuinely a big surprise.

No it's not because she is more experienced, it's because we are more aware of cultural and social difference between hindus and muslims. That's why it came as surprise for indians in general.

@@sunandhkumar6792 yeah well said and also in the film they have actually showed the differences between Hindu and Muslim also...like her brother gets shocked when she names Ram (a Hindu) and also how the Director chose to name her From Noor Jahan to Sita Mahalakshmi. It is a film for Indians if you talk about the references! I don't know if I am making any sense but....

Oh thank you for this🙏. As a foreigner I thought 'Ravana's annihilation' was referencing to killing Jameel in Kashmir and ending the conflict between Hindus and Muslims. I knew about Kurukshetra and Swayamvar (already found the info on my own)
The Ticket Collector name is Vaaradi(Meaning Bridge in Telugu) he is the one who stand as the bridge to connect Ram and Sita. Metaphor of Bridge is Train. Director has imbided so many minutee details.

it's a massive surprise when she's revealed as Noor Jahan. u thought it could be her but none of us did because she said she was Sita, a Hindu, which eliminates the possibility of her being Noor Jahan... a Muslim. impersonating a Hindu and following hindu traditions as a Muslim is not at all common so it comes as a big reveal

Now things has turned. Absolutely love the movie from here on. Mrual looked so pretty and Dulquer Salman's acting was phenomenal.
Watched this movie probably around 5,6 times. But that reveal and music at the end of first half still gives me goosebumps. 🤩
Mrunal looked so beautiful & elegant in this movie, every frame she was in was mesmerising, couldn't take off my eyes from her.

things u didn't notice... when they're in the war and Ram saves Sita he doesnt only tell that he's her wife but accidentally performs some marriage rituals like holding hands and taking 7 steps around the fire. And when Ram sees that the Muslims were about to attack him and Sita, he erases her sindhoor so that they think she's not a Hindu...
Teach this bollywood no kissing scenes, no intimate scenes, no vulgarity still love can be expressed. Sita ramam movie is enough to make a grown man cry 😭💓

You realise that this is India with 1.4 billion people? How do you think India is so populated? Yet you treat kissing and sex as if it's the most vile thing ever.
Achara you guessed it right. The AC Coach in the train is affordable by VIP's in those days. NoorJahan Aka sita travelled in AC Coach as she is rich and director had left that detail in opening itself where no one can notice.
How about the director leaving such details by making the character speak certain words the way Hyderabadi Muslim girl would say/pronounce. But 'Sitamahalakshmi' pronounced 'Kaashmir like a Telugu would even though Mrunal Thakur's lipsync suggests that she spoke Kashmir the way North Indian/Urdu educated Muslim would!!

@@ajeebdastaan2358 some language liberties have been taken. Or else Rashmikas character shouldn't be speaking Hindi or telugu. It should have been only English and Urdu.

A supposedly Telugu character i.e Ram played by DQ says 'Kashmir' while Princess Nur Jahan played by Mrunal Thakur says "Kaashmir" who is supposedly Urdu & English educated not Telugu. Some could argue that such Sanskritised Telugu is not expected of a Muslim princess of Hyderabad. It's improper characterization. Similiar gaffe happened in Pushpa with Fahad Faazil's saying his name "Bhanwar" Singh Shekhawat in the climax scene.
@@ajeebdastaan2358 At this point, we can make many assumptions. Ram spent most of his time in barracks of Kashmir so that could be a reason. Also Noor Jahan supposedly has a liking for Hindu culture (not elaborated but assuming) so that could have influenced her speech. End of day, all these are assumptions.

Sita was noor jahan was totally biggest reveal for me. Cuz Sita is a religious Hindu name, she was lord Rama's wife. And I would have never thought of her being Noor Jahan a muslim princess following hindu name and attire and putting on the bindi.

I think they have to change the dialogues in the subtitles. at 10:00 min, Ram erased the hindu mark on her forehead and said it's his wife. The attackers' dialogue is but she doesn't look like a muslim. That's why they go to attack her.
Also ram's dialogue "what's the problem" was replayed when they revealed she's the princess Noor Jahan is because, the problem is she's a muslim
