- I came up with an idea, to make a hand tied jig out of grass, and then I went head to head with Bondo and Srgt Slab catching crappie to see if the grass jig would out fish them.

Look.....don't put nothing past what a crappie will or won't bite .....one day I was crappie fishing and they were killing shiners .....they didn't want jigs that day ......but big shellcrackers were also biting and I had a big cup of wax worms ......I only had about 15 shiners and the crappie are them all.up.....so I tried a wax worm with no weight or bobber ....I just let it sink slowly and kinda twitched it was it was going down ......and all hell broke loose .....my son and I caught about 20 straight .....now I always bring wax worms when I go crappie fishing .
