from Hummingbird's "Daimond Nights" (1977). Same song as lead track of Jeff Beck's "Wired". Vo-Bobby Tench, Kbd-Max Middleton, G-Robert Ahwai, Ds-Bernard Purdie, B-Clive Chaman
One day at school...Santa Monica College...I heard this song...with words. Sounded like Jeff Beck! Turns out there was a free lunch concert with Hummingbird. Bob Tench sang and played guitar! He sounded very much like Jeff Beck...and a million times better than this studio thing...it screamed. What a surprise and what a memory!
Cool version of "Led Boots" with vocals. Max Middleton on keyboards composed it. Jeff Beck covered it on the "Wired" album. I never heard of this band; their effort without Mr. Beck. Nice jazzy, rhythm and blues style.

Bob Tench on vocals Where are ya dude we miss you here in San Diego....
Never heard of the band before, but this song is cool with vocals as well as Beck's instrumental version. Thanks!
Yeah, cool. Middleton is obviously the original composer. And: In Jeff Becks instrumental Version the Bridge (B-Part) is played in 7/4 rythm.
