    Today you are going to learn how to start calisthenics. You are going to begin by learning the 3 beginner mistakes you will want to avoid at all costs when first getting started.
    Make THESE mistakes, and you will increase your risk of injury, hurt strength gains, and it will be hard to master bodyweight moves & skills.
    These are ones that we see a lot of people make at the beginning, and these are ones my brother and have personally made… This will save from years of failures and stress that we had to go through.
    Even if you are not a beginner but you find yourself getting injured a lot, suffer with strength gains, or struggle to master new moves… then you could be making one of these mistakes.
    Grab your free Bodyweight Strength Workout here: bit.ly/2zRXmXf
    Getting this free workout will also place you on our newsletter so you will be notified when the new videos of the series are released and when we drop the BIG Cyber Monday special coming soon.

    Pull ups/chin ups, because they can build a lot of forearm, and back strength, and chin ups can get you some serious biceps

    Slow lowering pull ups is a good calisthenics exercise for upper body coordination........ Loved that stuff...

    Hi Dudes, you´re the best, I am pretty fit, into martial arts, and I have been trying to get into Calisthenics, and you just nailed it. I dont have enough mobility in my shoulders, so I found it hard, so I know what tackle now. Thanks for sharing.

      Hand-stand pushups because I enjoy the feeling of my equilibrium shifting as I go into a handstand and invoke various arm/core muscles as I do a pushup.

      @EnderSuitStudios From our experience, when it comes to joint pain like this, it's usually caused by a few things.
      #1: Poor technique with your landing that is putting too much force into your joints. Here's one video over landings - ua-cam.com/video/31IM_PRHoeg/v-deo.html
      #2: Not enough strength to properly handle the impact. This is why its crucial to strengthen the body with consistent conditioning and workouts. Here's some jumping drills to build strength - ua-cam.com/video/4fSfOXUe2i8/v-deo.html
      #3: Over training or not getting good sleep. Not allowing your muscles and joints to heal and rebuild before your next session. Here's a video discussing how often you should train - ua-cam.com/video/5vr0hm4AVRk/v-deo.html
      #4: Poor diet & nutrition. If you are not giving your body the nutrients it needs, especially following a workout to rebuild, then your muscles and joints are going to be in a weakened state. This makes pains & injuries more common and makes it much harder to achieve gains. Here's a video where we talk about our basic diet guidelines - ua-cam.com/video/JohrWYzzmh8/v-deo.html

    Favourite Calis exercise: straight arm pull up is my favourite one! I like it because it affects mostly whole upper body of mine! I've got wider shoulder and bigger triceps after 3 weeks trying to master it! It also look cool ya think? However, I'm still get struggle on the core using and get back pain! If you can, would you please make a video breaking down this exercise? I really like your instructions, it's so clear when you break down exercises

    • @TappBrothers
      @TappBrothers  6 років тому +1

      Hey Filip! Hope all is well brotha :). Yeah if you want more of a challenge, adding extra weight with a pack or weight vest should work well. I'd say just make sure the back pack is balanced and tight on your body so that it doesn't mess with your form or strain your back. Keep it up man!

      Warren Clarke will power and discipline

    • @TappBrothers
      @TappBrothers  6 років тому +14

      Hey Warren. That's a good question. My bro and I used to eat a lot of sweets when we were younger. Especially when we would go over to our grandmas house ha. We still get down on sweets occasionally now but it's a very small percentage of our overall diet. Here are a few things that helped us contain the cravings for sweets that may help you as well.
      #1: Don't buy any sweets. The best way to avoid them is to not have them around. Force yourself to avoid them.
      #2: Make a rule to not buy desert when out. It can be easy to fall into the habit of always buying desert.
      #3: Focus on the long term. Personally every time I'd eat a bunch of sweets, my body would feel like crap afterward. It would affect my energy and ability to be productive. When I think about the negative feelings I'm going to get afterward it makes it easier to pass up on the short term satisfaction.
      Hope this helps :) - Jonathan

    • @Canute87
      @Canute87 6 років тому +1

      increase the time interval between when you indulge and your body eventually won't crave for it as often. Also find better alternatives for "sweets" in the interim and your body will adjust over time. Bear in mind this won't take a few weeks. Probably like two months or so at the very least, this is if you want to safely come off it without losing sleep in the nights because you need something sweet.
