Saw them in Osnabruck Germany in 83 as a young soldier. It cost 10dm to get in … about £4. Money well spent. Fell in love with them and they have been a constant through my entire life. Cried like a baby when I heard about SA.
I still do sometimes, esp when I watch these old videos. I miss him so much -he was my musical hero and the reason I fell in love with music in the first place. I was 11 yrs old and remember it so clearly. He's a legend and missed by so many. It's hard not to get upset about losing him, but I'm grateful for the music he left us with to keep his memory alive. ❤
A true anthem from Big Country with its full on, coherent sound; whereas “East of Eden”’s mix was always hitting the red of the VU meters. The mighty TOTP, showcase for many of the world’s best, brings its own twist to a song about the soldiers of the Falklands Conflict. The miming was par for the course and kept the record sales and charts well tended with punchy songs that were often far more relevant than a weekly pop journey from the approaching Now (thats what I call music) generation.

I saw them live in November 1986. Brilliant show.
Your name will never die, Stuart Adamson
One of Scotland's finest 👍👍
Some of Stuart's guitar playing in BC reminds me of his Skids era, which I love. Thanks for sharing.
