  • The debate always comes up; To feed or not to feed deer during the harsh winter months? In this video we show you what we are currently doing on a property with poor winter food sources to help maximize the body qualities of the deer who call this area home. We show you what exactly we are feeding and our opinions on what others say about this issue. It's no secret, in order for deer to grow their best racks year over year their bodies need to be in tip top condition. So to help the deer in this area, we have decided to make the investment in money and time to try to contribute good for the area.
Should you feed deer on your property? That's a question only you can answer, but hopefully this video helps give you an insight into what we are doing on this particular property this winter.

Hunters and fishermen were probably the first environmentalists and conservationists, we tend to respect nature the environment and everything in it far more than anyone else because we're in it all the time.

Make sure to put calcium phosphate out. This is Ideal for antler growth and helps the lactating does. I also add QLF to my pellets, not only helps attract deer, but also fortified with minerals

If you're going to feed deer in the winter don't use exclusively corn.
I use a mixture of corn and high protein pellets.
They get the carbs from the corn which they do need and they also need the protein which helps get them to the winter without burning too much muscle.
If you live in an area like I do Central Kentucky where we don't get a lot of snow I've also got multiple food plots with oats and winter wheat planted.

Sorry but no hay is pure of any thing. Been farmin for many years. That hay looked like it was all stems and hard for an animal to chew.

I have to say that I’m pretty disappointed with the quality of the photos from that Moultrie Delta camera! They look awful blurry to me!

Those are all non HD photos I downloaded to my phone and blew up for the video. They look better on the app on a phone screen, but I agree I didn’t like the quality of the photos on this video but didn’t want to spend time requesting HD downloads from the camera for each photo. Check out the video review I did on the camera a few videos back. Those photos I used on that video were almost all HD downloads
