Hi mam!! I am a hispanic italian was married to a jamaican chef for about 20 years. we are seperated now. My children always talked about how they missed his cooking. Today i decided to make tripe and beans, saw your recipe. I pray it comes out as good as yours!!! you definitely have a new subsciber here. I love the fact that you cook so clean. bless your sweet heart and hands!!!!😘😘😘😘!!
I have to explain: So I was in the US Army for 10 year. 4 year in Kansas. There, there is a Jamaican restaurant that I would play music. I met a life friend and one I would consider a grandfather. His name is Kenrick. He is almost 70. He is Jamaican. He is like no one I have ever met. He has taught me more with his few words than I think anybody I could have learned in a lifetime. He is dear to me.
All that to say. Like yourself, he is soft spoken, comforting, and brings me soulful joy... I call you mama because I call him grandfather, a teacher. He, like yourself are a wealth of knowledge and love. Thanks for what you are.
One love.
Thank you for watching and for your kind words showering me with blessings.
God,miss my Grandma and her cooking and stories, lovely voice I can sit and watching her for hours.Bless I hope you are in better place.
When did she die?

I was married to Nigerian for fifteen years before he passed away love love beef tripe in stew and Nigerian soup.. I’m glade I learn how to cook for our two children......
How do u make Nigerian food I love it
This Swedish boy LOVED this recipe! Used a pressure cooker. I couldn't find Scotch Bonnet so I used a habenero which I left in (I like spice after living in S.E Asia and Australia). I served it with a West African plantain starch called Fufu with a squeeze of lime over the curry just before eating. Delicious! Thank you so much.
I love old people man. They straight forward haha
Thank you so much for this amazing recipe, I gave it a go yesterday albeit a toned down version on the heat, and it was amazing, and I will definitely be repeating the meal. 🇬🇧
Absolutely lovely Mum thanks 🙏🏽 so much. So many layers of flavors! 😃 love your style of Jamaican cooking

She's so sweet! ❤❤❤ I will try this recipe. My wife loves tripe soup
Thank you so much I will cherish your recipes always..God Bless
You are amazing. You cook just like my mum, Yes she is a Jamaican also. I used to stand in the kitchen and watch her cook all the time. She does not cook so much these days since her stroke. I have tried to pick her brain for recipes of all the things she used to cook. When I saw you on Pinterest cooking the tripe an beans I was so happy. This has to be a standard method of cooking for Jamaicans because I swear she does it the exact same way. Down to the scrubbing of the tripe lol. Thank you for sharing. I am gonna have to find more from you 🥰🥰😊😊💖💖
My grandmother used to cook tripe but fried it. Ill have to try this one thanks be blessed!~

"SHOPPING LIST", "Scotch Bonnet Peppers" - This is definitely a SPICY ONE!! I grew up in Texas, U.S. and my family occasionally ate spicy dishes using peppers my parents grew in their garden. The last few years, I have been growing hot peppers from Thailand, and other countries; so, I have a ready-made supply where I live. Thank you very much for the inspiring video!
That looks delicious Mom, you did a wonderful job. Please come back with some more recipes. 😆

One of my favorite thing,tripe..
when I was a child, us kids wouldn't eat it. Now I'm grown and like many things we didn't try back then. I'm gonna give this recipe a try. Thank you, I love watching your videos. You always give good tips on how to treat the ingredients too.
Give it a try. You'll be happy you did. Thanks for watching!
My grandma made the best soup with this tripe, when i was a kid.

Thanks for watching Ann!
I bought some tripe and was planning on frying it like I'm accustomed to from my southern paternal grandmother. I believe I will be trying this recipe as well though. My maternal Panamanian relatives might appreciate this version better.
I luv tripe i usually cook it this way without the curry. I will be adding curry next time. thanks!
Yes, try it with curry. I think you'll like it a lot.
i enjoy your video thank you. What was the purpose of the hot water and lemon over the tribe?
.........Not into tripe but it looked good. My mom liked it but never cooked it as nobody would eat it. I guess our "chests got too high" (lol). Looked good though Miss Fay.................
Thanks for watching Linda!

Love this recipe!!!!!!
I love your spirit and I love your cooking soo much .

She's right! Many Jamaicans like tribe and beans. It's their offspring that may have more issues with eating it. Going to forward this video to my neice. She's always asking for tribe and beans. Love this channel. She reminds me of my mom.
Thank you for watching!
Thanks mama

Tanya, thank you for watching and your kind words!
Nice
LOL my mum said "You betta gi' mi some, mi gyal!" You have her seal of approval :)
Thank you for watching. You betta make some for your mum then!
very nice
I love tripe, as BOTH sides of my heritages (Maltese and Macedonian) use it in recipes. However, I vowed I would NEVER cook it at home anymore after 3 attempts because my house ALWAYS smelled like....well....a barn animal's back side! LOL The end result TASTED good, but my house STUNK!
I have tried every tip to wash the tripe - vinegar, boiling it (scalding) with a few drops of vanilla essence, and even bicarbonate of soda with citric acid and water! NOTHING removed the STINK while it was cooking!
Can you recommend something else? Mind you, I have not tried the lemons and limes you used.
Thanks my dears! xo
Sounds like the tripe you use is the real deal! Don't find the smell overwhelming when I make it. Perhaps it's the lemons and the curry, which has such a rich and powerful aroma.
Cook Like A Jamaican I'm gonna give it one more try, your way with the lemons, so when I make it next I will be holding you accountable. HAHAHA. Thanks for the tip as always, XO
Mine was bleached! HAHAHA
She is so beautiful & graceful❤
Excuse me I was wondering if you know how to make cow foot

HI FAY MY MUM COOK TRIP E IN HER COOKUP RICE WITH SALT BEEF IT IS VERY NICE TRY IT ;;;; I ALWAYS LOOKING TO SEE WHAT YOU ARE COOKING LOVE IT ALL PAMELA FROM LONDON
Hi Paula from London. Thank you for watching. Enjoy the recipe!
I'm so trying this, in South Africa its cooked differently and they usually use the black toweling looking one together with the intestines which also tastes nice but the fat is not trimmed which is a bit a concern for those watching thier waistlines.
Is it really that bad if you don't trim the fat off the tripe?
Thank you remined me of my Grandmother and aunt's.
WOW POWERFUL NICE TRIPE GOOD BEAUTIFUL! AGRADECER OS HECHO THANKS YOU SISTER! ●BROWN FAMILY. 💜DAPHNE COTTON.
Your a beautiful person..
God less the grandmother's like these, they always knew the best!
No sah, Dat cyan't nyam!
Shortythepresident man a eat worse nd tht
Right now I'm eating goat tripe
Americans eat it too, don’t let them fool ya. They just call it another name.
kids don't need to "get used " to any food. They need to be hungry and they need discipline at the dinner table. Western kids are so pathetic now and their parents ask them what they want to eat rather than dishing up a meal and ordering them to eat it or go to bed hungry
We somalis , our woman used to cook and eat but these days men eat more
Ur a very nice lady
FIRST😀😀😀😀😀
tripe deh a farin???
