The problem is this is going against the industry standard. As a panelist you are contributing to the event in a pretty big way a lot of conventions pay panelist. To go the complete opposite way and force them to pay is wild
@@LtcCloverthe industry standard💀 this is a convention made by youtubers. Every year ive looked at the panels on the website, I would only know like 1 creator, so theyre not really a draw for the convention in the first place. The reason people sometimes go to conventions is because the people that are there, and that makes the convention money. Bringing in smaller creators doesnt make them more money. If they gotta pay an entry fee to be able to publicize themself in front of a larger audience, I say its worth it. You also gotta realize this video is made by the people most affected. I say make ‘em pay, they arent better than the fans. Unless you think so?
@@Shum-manexactly they just mad over a 100 dollars a person. It’s smarter to have a set amount of ppl where everyone pay so you can scale to the size needed and less ppl with drop out and less ppl can sneak in or switch badges.
Bruh, they fumbled DreamCon this year. The issue came down to how large it is. DreamCon and RDC aren’t NOT ready for a convention for this magnitude, at all. Maybe in a couple of years, but they won’t be fully ready for 2024. I think they need more than just a year to prepare if they project to have a ridiculous amount of people like before.
@@dontaviushaul442 I did AND I got a platinum badge. My experience at Dream Con this year, was absolutely garbage bruh. As a platinum badge holder, I'm supposed to have priority seating, but nope. They didn't check badges for anything. The Rooms exclusive to platinum holders were garbage. They were hot, there was one big connect four game and a single switch with JUST their joycons. There was like 6 people there at all times. The other rooms were just as disappointing.
The same thing when small businesses start to upscale it’s going to be some growing pains and things to get used to. Let them work it out and they’ll be good but don’t act like you or anybody else would do much better. Give them the same grace you give ya self 😊

The con experience critiques are all valid and true but them charging for the panelist shit is clearly a way to add more containment and organization so it's meant as a remedy for the problems being discussed.

@@LtcClover not wild just dumb
It does not make sense for a panelist someone contributing to the growth of the conference through bringing in fans should have to pay
