Literally my dream job… this lifestyle is very ideal imo. Staying busy, keeping your mind sharp, helping people daily. Systematic and always the same but also different if that makes sense. I hope to be in this position some day. God bless you for all your hard work dear!!!!
Hi Paulene, thank you so much for posting this video, it's helpful to get a glimpse of what the clinical aspect of CRNA school is like. I'm currently finishing up my prerequisites to attend an ABSN program with the end goal of CRNA school. Although I am doing well, I feel I'm not very strong in my core sciences. Have you seen any of your classmates who may have had to work harder to understand the material during didactic, but still achieve success in school? I also noticed your whiteboard in the back of your car with what I'm assuming is study material. I would love to see a video of how you structure your whiteboards to help with your studying, if possible. Thank you for all you do and good luck on the rest of your journey. You are so close, know that I am rooting for you! -Owais
Hi Owais! Thank you so much! Yes, of course - CRNA school is very challenging even for the smartest/most efficient students. It just takes a lot of hard work & grit to get through, but you can do it!!
I started working on my applications with about 1.5 years of icu experience & got in the first time I applied! It takes a bit of time to get all the requirements so start with a timeline for when you need to start checking things off your list while you’re working in the icu!
it varies! Some months are heavier in workload and more tiring than others. I try to workout at least twice a week but rest, sleep, and school work are often prioritized more. I work out whenever I can or have the energy to or if I need to de-stress
This was just my break week where we are required to work 5 days of clinical! I still have 1 year & 2 months left 😀 & no, we have not taken any oral boards or pharm boards! will update if we do
No, we have other classes and our DNP research project on top of clinicals. We also have to study for the SEE which we take yearly in our program. So we are constantly doing homework, writing, or studying outside of our OR time.
They are usually 6am-4pm Monday-Thursday. Some rotations we do 2 weekends out of the month. It varies per program but you do need a solid support system especially if you have kids at home♥️
Do you wear your own scrubs or do you have to wear the hospital provided ones this is my goal to be a crna I am right now a stna and not sure if I want to waste money on figs if I won’t use them while I’m a crna
Hi Paulene! My name is Josh! How do you like SRNA life so far? I am in the FNP program for about a year left but I would like to know if I can do my doctoral as CRNA since my FNP degree is MSN. Do you recommend going this route at all? What are some cons/pros you see? Do you have other students who made this change? Thanks in advance!
Hi Josh! The SRNA life is extremely challenging in many aspects but it is truly rewarding and I am enjoying it! My friend David Warren (you can find him on YT & Instagram) was an NP prior to going to CRNA school. He will be able to give you insight on his experience! CRNA programs are structured as a whole so you will have to start from the very beginning of it. It varies per program if you can transfer credits to classes you’ve already taken. I cannot say if I recommend it or not because it truly is a personal choice & a completely different career path!

Yes!!! My dream job as well and everyday in clinicals confirms that for me. Thank you so much!
Just daydreaming of when I'll actually be in clinicals and using all this book knowledge I'm learning. Thanks for keeping me motivated

Im leaning more to crna but i haven't started to get my bsn yet. Was there a lot of homework during clinicals and hard to balance social life?
Just found out this is what I’m going to do giving me purpose ty
How was your application process? How many years of icu experience did you have?

How often are you able to work out during CRNA school?

I’m super nervous by the way.
Wow! Are you already at five days of clinicals??? You must be almost finished. How were the pharm boards? Have you taken the oral exam yet?

So during your clinicals you dont have any studying to classwork to do? Just focus on what you need to do in the OR?

@@paulenejsn Sheesh thanks for the insight
What are your shifts like? I wanna do this so bad but I’m a single mom

It depends on each facility! Some require you to wear their own surgical scrubs and some don't care what you wear.
My dream🥺
Which crna school do you attend
