Dirty Old Towns? Weekend Challenge in Daingean

The Dirty Old Towns? team along with 2fm's Colm Hayes filmed the Let's Colour Daingean Project which was undertaken by Daingean Development Association with help from Daingean Youth Club and members of the community. The project featured as a Weekend Challenge on RTE's Dirty Old Towns? Programme which aired on April 4th. The idea behind the project was to brighten up the town and attract tourism by painting the Main Street. 28 houses were painted by 300 volunteers using 2000 litres of paint. The project was made possible by Dulux who lent the Davelopment Association the services of a colour consultant.
