    Excellent and concise presentation and explanation , D1.1 is laid out in a less than organized manner, and it is very easy to misinterpret the meanings laid out by the code writer. This why it is important to read the entirety of the code for a full understanding. This understanding of the code you more than demonstrate, I look forward to your other videos.

    Dear Mr. Harry PACE, thank you for awesome and magical practical knowledge sharing regarding prequalified wps which is part of AWS D 1.1, however I want to corrected one issue about steel quality in Turkey (Istanbul) (video time regarding with issue 28:08 ) , Turkish steel quality is much better than chinese because of my company is exported all of the our manufacturing of steel pile pipe to Europe and USA, up to now we did not face any nonconformance related with 3.1 Mill Test Certificate or any type of material nonconforma ce from our Client or Customer in USA, BEST REGARDS

    wps=recipee pqr we get it i have to check every video to see if weve moved on i kinda apreciate it you are a wealth of knoledge. thank you just over repetitive

      True statement - these have been put together over a couple of years and there never was a really detailed master plan. So sometimes material gets hit more than once.

    well done impresive xplanation, hope you can response to my question, we have now a build up beam the flange thickness is 60mm and web thickness is also 60mm it is a CJP , the grove preparation angle is 60 degree i think it is to much already all we know the standard grove angle for tee butt joint is 30 to 35 degress is that possible or fall under any AWS clause, thank you in advance for those who can adress my concern cheers.

    Hi , How do I set short arc, globular or spray transfer in a same equipment ?. Does it requires a special machine or can I do it with a regular ESAB MIG 400i cccv etc ?

      It is by cranking up the voltage - you will need a shielding gas with a minimum of 80% argon for spray transfer.

      Hi,
      A small query.
      Electrode dia is an essential variable for pre-qualified WPS. Can I use multiple diameter in a WPS which is less than the Max dia allowed. Example for SMAW, 2.5/3.2 in a WPS or separate WPS for each dia?

      @@arjunbabuchala I'm a little late but if you ask 5 different people you will get 5 different answers, but general short circuit is 18-22 volts/7525 gas and globular is 22-28v/7525 gas and spray is 28v and above min 80% Ar mix

    Could you please give me an advice or instruction
    My WPS I have to make:
    + Position: 2F
    + Materials: Plate A36 +Round bar S45C
    + Method: FCAW

      Buy a copy of AWS D1.1 from the aws.org website. It will show you what is qualified.
