I am listening your speech as it is very intetesting tô hear our. Experience but I like tô read Brooks but Brooks in papeen. Too. Very Nice you both have pacience continue this way.Thanks...
I taught academic English in Saudi Arabia, in an all female university. The students loved dictogloss so long as it was competitive. I couldn't over use it as they do like a formal approach but combined with good competitive fun and it was a winner. Thanks for a fantastic video. Wow, different approaches to dictogloss. I do the second listening in one big hit as l view it no differently to a listening type lesson......l block all vocab too. Once forgot to block vocab in a lesson and got myself into a terrible pickle. Never again. Great work guys.
Thanks for the comment Barbra! Hearing of varying approaches to the same method is always so enriching - more tools in the tool box! Thanks for sharing!
Excellent guys, I appreciate the knowledge and wisdom that you guys are sharing, there are a few things that I always learn from watching. Keep up the good work guys.
Who knows I Take the Celta Test one Day in near future as it seams very Objective and that we adquire Knowlwge and see the world the fantadtic side of this type of study...😅
Next time you release one of these, would you release it mono or balance the person on the left to the left and right to the right? It is a very distracting to have them switched
Absolutely! thank you for the very valuable feedback. The main solution for the moment (albeit not ideal for everyone) is not to use earphones while watching or listening. Having said that, your feedback is completely valid and very much appreciated. Sound is something that is a little bit of a work in progress at the moment. However, I believe we have a solution for our next episode. I hope you were able to glean some useful information for the episode despite the audio issues.
Well aren't I glad you asked that mr. gravychipplease! It's normally about a person whereby they give their name to something e.g. The character Hamlet would be the eponymous character of the play Hamlet. The channel & indeed the podcast is called "Integrated Skills" and dictogloss, which we talk about in this episode is an integrated skills approach to teaching grammar! Maybe a little bit of a stretch but us Irish like taking a bit of poetic license with the lingo, don't we!? :)
