- Here is the 3rd video of my trip to South Australia at Myponga Beach. What a great place to chill out. As I understand it, the houses on the shoreline are rentals and you can rent them out for holidays etc. Pretty nice spot to spend some time at. I found this footage a little difficult to grade. There are a lot of very bright lights and low darks and trying to balance them became very time consuming. Anyway, here's some info on the area. hope you enjoy. Cheers :)
Myponga Beach is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia about 54 kilometres (34 miles) south of the state capital of Adelaide. It is on the eastern shore of Gulf St Vincent, immediately north of the northern boundary of the Fleurieu Peninsula.
The locality extends from Snapper Point[note 1] (at the southern end of Aldinga Bay) in the north to Carrickalinga Point about 18.7 km (11.6 mi) to the south-west. The coastline includes an inlet known as Coweelunga Bay; on its shores are a popular beach (known colloquially as Myponga Beach) and the mouth of the Myponga River.
Myponga Beach began as a shack site on the shoreline in section 240 of the cadastral unit of the Hundred of Myponga. Boundaries were created for this "long established name" in 1999.
As of 2015, land use within the locality consisted of land zoned for primary production uses such as agriculture, land adjoining the coastline being zoned for conservation purposes and the settlement at Coweelunga Bay being zoned as a "country township".
The 2016 Australian census reported that the locality had a population of 33 people.
Myponga Beach is located within the federal division of Mayo, the state electoral district of Mawson and the local government area of the District Council of Yankalilla.

I just watched this again on the computer. It is amazing mate. When I watched it earlier on my Ipad I could see a disturbance at the 0:30 mark. On the computer I can see it is a flock of birds. So glad I watched again. Now I just need to steal the tv from the wife and watch it on that lol.

Hey Matt , unusual looking barron coastline. Looks like those rolling hills all dry up in the summer. I know you like to add the natural colors in your edit, probably harder to do when it,'s all dry looking. You sure gave a good view of the area though.

Nice job editing. The locations seems very remote. With a population of 33 I can't imagine a full grocery store is nearby. I guess that makes it a glorified camping spot. lol

Hey there Cody. Man in so annoyed with this footage. Colour grading looked ok while editing but just watched it on my 4k TV and it looks terrible for some reason. Yes mate, heading into winter, not like your winter but our sunny and warm version lol
@@northeastdroneproductions well the reason I asked is because of the colours I was seeing. Nothing on your part but you can tell the greenery and the landscape has changed into a light brown sort of nothingness. Happens here in similar ways and it’s hard as heck to colour grade. Don’t beat yourself up. Looked great
