I mean Richie's not in the wrong here, you'd be mighty stupid to take seed money from a Mafioso and then expect not to owe him patronage on the business that you started with that money.
Richie didn't loan Beansie the money to start this business. Beansie ran H for the Aprile brothers. He then took his profits from that business and opened his restaurants. Richie is just pissed off that Beansie didn't visit him in the can for some conjugal visits to lick his ass, so he's looking to shake Beansie down and basically just wants an excuse to fuck him up.

In a car theres P-park, D-drive, R-reverse etc. He means that he "backed-off" into beansy (driving in Reverse) and he then put it in 'Drive', since he drove off afterwards

Beansie is not very clever and does not realize that beating was not a one-off: he was getting prison punked, and was expected to assume his new status. That would have included showing up at Richie's party to say nice things to him and give him money.

I liked Beansie and Tony’s relationship. Tony treated him better than most of the other associates and Beansie was a decent guy compared to the other gangsters.
Tony could have ordered Richie to leave him alone or else, but it would have been too much hassle.
Beansie never should have been living in that neck of the woods. He always should have known that some scumbag was going to move on him.
He should have sold his businesses up and been out of there and invested that money somewhere else.

One of the big reasons the other Bosses didn't respect Tony and the other families didn't respect the Sopranos. They only upheld the rules when it was convenient for them.

I met David Proval who plays Richie Aprile like 15 years ago. He is the sweetest guy you can imagine. Hes literally Richie Aprile at Tony Sopranos house. Very soft spoken and polite. He plays a maniac so well.

The ramp Ritchie was going to build up to Paulie's ass, drive a Lionel up in there, while never actually recognized on film, was one of the most complex and developed characters in the entire Sopranos universe
I wish Richie had another season or two, one of the better characters without a doubt..

I never understood why To y let this happen. How did he think “If you wanna do it, do it” would impact Ritchie? Ritchie made his intentions pretty apparent. Tony obviously didn’t want Beansie hurt. How Tony played this situation never made sense.
"if you wanna do it, do it" wasn't referring to hurting beansie. Tony told him to back off, and then said "I'm asking you for a favor. If you want to do it, do it, if not, to fuck yourself." The "doing it" refers to doing Tony the "favor" of backing off Beansie

I like how the coffee pot changes to a different one right before Rich hits him with it. I guess they needed a stunt double for the impact shot and couldn't have the fake one on the table the whole time.
