First ward off posture (after Rising facing North- turn right at East)- is WARD OFF LEFT from the "holding ball" position stepping left foot (either North or Northeast) ; then WARD OFF RIGHT due East😇. I was happy to see that you include the transitional "holding ball"- most players just go straight to the Ward off Left without the movement turning Right to East. We used to actually have a name "Bang Forward and Ward Off Left" in the early days, for the first one.
