Great to see a young English central midfielder who can play like this, we've been so short in this area, will be great watching him over the next few seasons (wherever he may be playing....). A lot of class.

Has a bit of Paul Scholes about him. Both feet, sprays the ball both sides of the pitch, likes a tackle...
Paul Scholes was majestic but he could not tackle properly he committed more fouls than any midfielder ive ever seen.

Dear Adam if you're seeing this, you definitely need to go to a club where you will learn from an idol. Just like Valverde did with Tony Kroos. I would suggest Arsenal so you keep learning from Rice but definitely seek out an idol and hold yourself accountable to him. Cheers

Definitely a player teams like arsenal,man utd, Tottenham or Chelsea can do with.
Not the finished article yet but there is alot of basics in him and future potential for growth.
Can be a good squad player for a while (due to his age and lack of experience) to add depth and also develop.

Yeah, but Wharton should not have to move on from Palace until he is 23 or 24 years old. He’s at a great club for developing, with 38 leagues starts guaranteed, competing in the Premier League & has an exciting season coming up, especially if his teammates like Eze, Olise, Mateta, Guehi & Henderson are retained! One or two more seasons with Palace would do wonders for the club!

Actually, scouts from half the PL used to attend Rovers games watching him. Utd, Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle and many more were monitoring him. When it came to the point Rovers had no choice in January (the original plan was to sell this or next summer) to sell due to owners not being able to put money in to the club, it caught most clubs off guard. Many had FFP issues, and others wanted ready-made players rather than a gamble on a highly-rated kid from the Championship. Palace took the chance and the rest is history.

Never ever + on principle Bayern does not sign any player who has just played 1 season in a foreign top league and//or with no European cup appearance/experience

Do you really think Palace would let Wharton go for that amount in order to for to come up with Musiala as a "comparable example" for Wharton??? That´s ridiculous.
Alfonso Davis was a similar story bought as future back up who played his first 2 Bayern seasons in the Bayern second team U21 in the "regional league= 3rd tier league" before he got the opportunity to be a part of the 1st team playing Bundesliga.
Those 2 circumstances are not in the slightest comparable with Wharton.

As long in the German medias, but especially in the Munich medias which are especially very close to Bayern Munich and therefore they know anything about Bayern Munich way in advance, is no single word about Wharton + Bayern (and there aren´t and there weren´t ..not in the slightest) then the rumours are not true but just made up by someone..very like by the British medias who are internationally known for their permanent made up "cock + bull rumour transfer stories" just to keep you English "entertained".

The post injury Hudson-Odoi of Leverkusen was half the player be was as a teenager, when the whole of Europe was after him.
