The truth is, no, Stefan would never look at Katherine the way he looked at Elena. Because he had been in love with Katherine for his entire life. He only loved Elena for a couple of years. Elena could not compete with the love Stefan felt for Katherine. Of course he hated her at first for what she did, but deep down, he loved her. His body hated her, his soul was in love. And no one (not even Caroline) could compete with an eternal love that trumps all the things she did.
Exactly, when Stefan had Katherine chained and even though she threatened Elena and everyone Elena loved, he had the chance to kill her, and didn't, especially knowing how dangerous she was. This told me that deep down he really still loved her but didn't want to admit it.

Apparently Paul was serious and didn’t like how Nina would mess around on set, and she didn’t like that he was too serious. However they quickly got over it, by season 2, they became close friends and now are best friends.

steferine is the purest ship on tvd. there was no love more pure than theirs. it consumed them on the inside, but stefan was afraid to admit it while katherine was more straightforward. she didnt fight it, while stefan wld fight against it and sometimes it wld break through, like in the safe and saving her from suicide.

Selfishness, innocence.. he thought that's what he wanted cause he wasn't hurting anyone neither did Elena. That's why he didn't end up with Katherine so others around him don't get hurt.

It's a shame that they didn't explore their relationship better. It seems to me that since the writers involved the originals, the whole show got revolved around Damon, Elena and Klaus. If Damon got redeemed for everything he had done, Katherine deserved the same chance. In the end, the best two characters died together and it's such a shame.

Damon loved katherine more than stefan. Stefan moved on and she loved elena more than anyone until he died. But when katherine became human I shipped her with stefan, they would have been so good. But no... julie ruined everything and really left stefan empty handed.
It makes sense, then when Elena becomes rabid and perverse she saw how much Katherine was worth.
Although even in the last moment I felt a lot of Stelena chemistry. Anyway, Stefan had very nice relationships. Katherine should have been at the altar instead of Caroline.

In the last few scenes with Stefan (before she took control over Elena’s body) it shows how broken she actually was. She just wanted to be loved and have a thing she would take care of. It is such a beautiful thing Stefan did for Katherine before she died in s5. The writers really stuffed it up never letting them explore their amazing love. They should have ended up together. Her love for him is so true and eternal and he felt it for her too.

He turned his humanity off, went Ripper on and off, and eventually got himself on the bunny diet and locked down his feelings but kept them on. But, Stefan couldn't stop loving Katherine, and that finally manifested in his pursuit of Elena. I think the reason Stefan didn't let Katherine take him back was because he hadn't coped with the fact that Katherine was forced to abandon him to survive Klaus' wrath, which he didn't yet know.

And honestly? I support both of those decisions. The Damon drama was unnecessary but I understand and support's Katherine reasoning for compelling Stefan
