  • Having problems with no agitate, no spin. Get error code for blocked motor, but have found no blockages.
Everything spins freely, clutch/transmission seem to operate fine. But I'm questioning the thing that wouldn't mate to agitator to the motor (thermo actuator from what I can find.)
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!

It's a Wax motor... It is activated by 120 vac Which heats the wax then pushes the lever to agitate or spin....Anthony Appliance Specialist here at you're service😁🫡

Hi Matthew. I am at the exact same point you are in this video. Fills Drains but does not agitate or spin. Were you able to get a solution?? Thanks

@@kwamijw3363 I'll report on my outcome in case someone else comes through here. In my case a sock fell into the cooling fan beneath the motor, breaking the little clips that held in place the magnet in the cooling fan. The magnet then sucked up to the motor, blocking the speed sensor and stopping the machine from spinning at all. Replacing the cooling fan, about $40 and a half hour of work, fixed the problem.

@@kw6713a Do you mean the speed sensor is what you repaired? And if so, how was the outcome? Did it fix the problem? My error code says "blocked motor". But nothing actually blocking the motor. It just humms when trying to engage into spin cycle. Eveything else works i.e agitation, rinse, fill etc. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

@@preferreddrummer1 I replaced the entire fan because the clips holding a magnet inside the fan were broken. I suppose it might happen that the clips break from something that impacted them but is no longer in there, like a coin or something that is later ejected, or maybe they just break over time. Once the magnet inside the fan detaches, it will block the speed sensor, and the drum will not spin. In my case I did not have to replace the speed sensor, just remove the magnet that was obstructing it, though I recall reading that the speed sensor can be broken from this magnet impacting it.
I can't say whether this would give the motor obstructed code, but seems possible.
I've since moved to a different house and don't have that device anymore, so this is the best I can remember. Best of luck.

Where is the speed sensor located? I still have the unit because dryer works fine. Bought a cheap used washer, but if I could get this thing running again that'd be awesome

@@mastergates83 I have a video on my channel replacing the speed sensor on this exact GE stackable washer. Enjoy & share! Thanks 👍

You need to testing the parts I’m a washer an dryer repair guy. That actuator is what moves that clutch up and down. I’m 100 percent sure that’s your problem. May need to jus put it back up there if it don’t work replace it
