I understand that this track was specifically created for MM2, but dare I say that this best fits Inauguration. It is a huge piece to Eviternity's first impression.
Thanks to Eviternity i connect this track with "vampire gothic castle" trope , but on my own, way before Eviternity i always got "unsolved detective mystery" vibe from it
Always thought this borrowed a melody from "Act On Instinct" from Command & Conquer until I read the description. Pretty neat to learn that's actually not the case!
@@markklem You're welcome, and thank you as well! :) All of your songs on MM2 (and Shaw's as well!) are so good, but this one just feels like such an adventure. Great job!
That is a really great observation. I never even realized that before now. C&C came out in 1995. My song was 1994. C&C was one of my favorite soundtracks.
I always wondered and more now that i replayed MM2, is this song inspired by C&C song? it mean for a lot of people this might seem obvious, but i want to hear it from you.
Wow, is the same scale and everything, i cant believe this to be real, has anyone told you this before?, the piratically plagiarized your music score :O which is think is awesome for you, have you ever send a letter to EA about this?, have you ever consider it?.
@@hyfrehyfre That is bizarre. I would have to believe it is a coincidence because I highly doubt that guy ever heard one of my songs. I am not even sure if it was uploaded to a BBS at the time. I did a lot of the MM and other songs years prior to their release, but that is extremely similar lol
Indeed, as a matter of fact i was finishing memento mori 2 this week and i heard that song and i said, this has to be a remix of C&C. Apparently and based on wikipedia the author is Frank Klepacki, i see no harm on contacting him or leaving him a twitter, apparently this is his? twitter.com/frankklepacki?lang=en , i am sure he has no reason to say either "yes this was inspired by you" or "no, this is just a coincidence".
I read the description, and listened to all C&C's music. Found no similarities at all. Huh? Where do you and others hear the resemblance, well, where? EDIT: Ugh, ok, I found the link, but still they're just different. And it reminds me a lot of the meme "Wow, This Is Literally Me"

MM2, Zdaemon CTF and Eviternity all were smart to use such an amazing piece.
How the heck can one song be sinister, melancholy, whimsical and tense at once?
This song has been stuck in my head for a solid week.
Okay, what about now after 2 years?
@Mark Klem Not stuck in my head, but still on my Playlist for my car. Listened to it this last Thursday.
@@raymondbd21 Nice :)
Eviternity (Doom II level pack) uses this as the music for MAP01 so that's cool

Were you able to figure out who the killer was? ;)
first heard this music in Eviternity map 01sir you are Legend i love your work ❤
Glad you enjoy it!
Classic...... mm2.... Gotta love it
Songs like these make sewer levels not as bad.
This is great! Also, as random note, I can't help but think that this would make an excellent addition to the Blood soundtrack :)
Ahh! Loved the Blood games!

This song came out a year before C&C.
@@markklem I find that quite interesting. :)
@@Arcterezion There is no relation. I think it was completely by chance.
This song is so good! I just played Memento Mori 2, which had an amazing soundtrack, and this one was one of my favorites.
Aww, man thanks so much. This is one of my very favorite tunes as well :) That is how I can tell you are a good guy :)

In fact, you are peanut butter and jam.

Some parts of this sound a lot like Act on Instinct from C&C.

i really dont know... i wonder, there are to many notes in similarity.

It is a certain part, not the entire song.
and yes, it was very iffy.
