Main thing in manufacturing as "Make in India" is actually assembled in India,not manufacturing.
Something is better than nothing.
At least we have started the process.
You can't simply start the manufacturing at large scale.

Indian govt should promote small manufacturing plants by providing easy loans and support. Such as good shoes, garment, LEDs, and thousands of small products that we import it will provide employment to locals and also save the pocket money of people resulting in saving that ultimately boost banking system.
When u aim for 120% then only u get a higher and a realistic score , u need to set the bar high and then u will achieve the target
One of the major problem for companies in India is the burden of tough compliance like GST , Income Tax , transfer pricing, TDS etc. We have a very complicated tax structure. All the burdens are shifted to the companies like in case of Europe they have only one tax number for GST , income tax and a very easy tax return forms but in India we have so many tax no. and extensive tax returns and deadly assessments
yep gst was done to make it easier but as of now it has not been able to do the same

My Father Being A CA Tells That GST is getting stricter day by day , They Raid The Shops Like Income Tax Officers . 2x Tax is imposed for Literally mere of the reasons because of which many flourishing companies had to wrap up and addition to this The mudra loan scheme has also been a sort of failure due to the non compliance of the psu banks .

Those taxes were easy to calculate. Gst is garbage system designed by pencil pushers to massage their ego that they are also smart; they're not.
There should be better work infrastructure to be made in Industries, strict rules and also the quality of life should be made better for everyone in India. The corruption in the first place should be stopped.

Outside make in india looks shiny but when you go to govt offices to get a work done you will realise nothing has changed you have to pay extra to get water to electricity connection. Finally govt eats most of the profit in the name tax....
1. Take stringent action against hypocrite people who are hindering industrialization only to serve their self-interest. 2. In the Govt. sector and PSUs, promote fast and only those employees who are efficient, honest and support manufacturing and industrialization. 3. Advertise made in India products so that common people but more and more home made products.
Sir how can we achieve make in India goal? Being a business man from manufacturing sector, heavy taxation policy and continuous denial of business loan from bank and corrupted people (in terms of tax paying) are really a big hurdle in achieving this dream. It's a good idea but need huge amendment in it.

Solution is to Invest in Innovation facilities in India , Its the need of the hour, Although its a long term process but will bear fruits that is home grown and reduce dependency on other countries for factory setup nonsense.
The problem is for a local person, the tax is so complex and high that the person looses interest in the business.
While for a foreigner there are tax exemption and agreements, which makes them easy to do business in India.
Tbh, we only exporting cheap labor and raw materials to other countries. Need to go miles to become influential exporter of heavy machineries.

There has been no increase in the export of manufacturing in India. It has remained constant over the years, with no significant changes. The growth in the economy is attributed to other sectors.

India cannot be a manufacturing power house without sufficient infrastructure push. The dedicated freight corridor, the expressway, metros, ports, airports, bullet train, and few cities, are all under construction and are estimated to be completed by 2026. China already had all of this before becoming a power house. Manufacturing will come to Indian only if sending good out of Indian after manufacturing is faster.

If make in India have not reached 100% Target this doesn't make it failure, generally targets are kept higher not lower. I have seen many companies setup unit in India. Growth in next 5 years will be next level are companies are comming now after infra development which happened in last few years and still infra are getting build. Once we have good infra economy will automatically follow
top down approach will not work, individual business are constrained and hassled at every turn. To start a very small industry just try to get an electricity connection, trade license and a PCB certificate.. you will be made to believe that you are committing a grave sin and crime at every juncture. These three are just a small subset of all the departments you have to deal with..

Indian Government what development and infrastructure growth. But totally ignores working condition of architects . Average Indian architect salary are less than the labour salary and on top of that they have to do 15 to 18 hour of work every day. As private and government construction company open competition and tenders demand submiting for all the drawings and details for free which take months to develop . Due to this competition many companies work for months to develop design for free of cost and apply for completion and if they loose they get nothing. Company and firm have no option but to burn out there intern ,junior and senior architect with ourtime and in the salary less than ranging 10000 for intern and junior to 50000 for senior. And that to work on sundays and holidays . The salary earned is than spend on basic survival necessities as the inflation is high. Most architect just try to settle out side india . And those how cant just do some other typical business. Than how we can we expect economic growth
