- Devil's Slingshot LIVE.
Don't remember the date or location, but this is pro shot stuff, filmed for a TV show or something which never aired.
Enjoy.
Virgil Donati - Drums
Tony MacAlpine - Guitar
Billy Sheehan - Bass
It is so great to see song played live, which I always loved and never witnessed before. As a dedicated Tony MacAlpine fan, I saw this God-Gifted man live and dangerous at least 10 times, no other great great guitar player ever could top his brilliance. Tony was kind enough to teach me a few arpeggios before his Phoenix show many years ago.
Lucky you. He's my hero too. He changed my life. He got me to raise my level of musicianship.
Fantastic! I so wish this lineup did more than just the one record together. I think if Tony, Billy, & Virgil really woodshedded for awhile the stuff these "best of breed" musicians would have come up with would've been off the charts.
Amazing!
You almost expected him to ask "So do you guys play any AC/DC or Skynyrd in your set for people who maybe dont know you that well?" lol
awesome!
This gui is fantstic !
If this was made for television but never aired, it's probably because the interviewer was so ignorant and unprepared. It must have been embarrassing: having an opportunity to interview these iconic rock figures, but knowing so little about them.
It stands in stark contrast to the band's performance: off the chain!!
OK, so it's not just me. Dumbest questions ever! At the point where that chowderhead admitted he didn't know Tony played keys, I wish there could've been a little of his Chopin qeue'd up. When I first saw the EMG vid. of Tears of Sahara and saw Nili Brosh playing the Lynch lines, I was blown away. Guess who immediately bought all of Nili's stuff. Yeah, this guy, LOL.
@@CaseEJoanz *Brosh is boss!*
Holy crap, I skipped the interview moments the moment he asked him about the keys. To think that this ignorant interviewed a person that inspired (and still do) so many people.
🔥🔥🔥
Pretty cool
the bassist is steve vai undercover.
I miss carvin guitars.
Awesome! Carlos Arcay ¿los viste en Vigo?
noooooooooo

¡Bolazo! ;)
17:00 MY FUCKING GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ Damn!!!
Anybody know the name of second song?
Sinfonia
Christmas Island.
Tony, the right hand of God, God is Paco de Lucía.
I wonder what Tony & Billy playing Gimme' three steps would sound like....

Track 3 is the Sage.
Too bad MacAlpine is not paid by the note count…🙄
No keyboardist?
No, this was just the three of them. They also released an album with this line-up.
@@FrankTdrumz would love to see a solo album between MacAlpine and Greg Howe “the fu$k do u pick so fast.”
Jeez, Tony, you expect an interviewer to know your whole life's history? Plus, he was merely saying that in Via, you played keys instead of mostly guitar, not that you didn't play keys well or ever.
TruthSurge In his defense, you usually at least study up a bit and do your due diligence before you sit down with someone for an interview - especially a recorded one. The fact that he thinks both Tony and Billy's main musical history took place in the Vai band is pretty sad. Without a doubt, most people know Tony from Planet X and his solo work, while Billy is known for Mr Big, DLR, (and many other bands - UFO, Niacin, Talas, etc) and his solo content.
Alamar I agree. An interviewer should get SOME basic facts written down but there's no way to be intimately familiar with someone if you are MERELY interviewing them. I just thought Tony's attitude was a little uncalled for. He could have just been gracious and added any correction and then proceeded to answer.
Hate the way Donati holds the snare stick. Yuck. Is the keyboardist playing from the dressing room? 😳
Anything more than 3 piece, is a waste of talent:)
the bass player makes a bunch o noise
You should be smacked for saying that! You don't know skill when you hear it!
and you make more crybaby 😂 that's Billy Sheehan dumbazz lmao
