The mint peppermint seedlings are a super joy at midnight on Saturday night I put my grow light back on and to the beat of the techno high tech dnb I was under my grow light spraying both mint peppermint seedlings with a trigger sprayer to the beat of the music!!! They just love the water it's great exercise to have them indoors!

I agree with what you say and please don't stop. A big but is depending where you live you can't grow all your veg. Nice if you could. Not everyone has space or time to grow your own veg . Getting properly grown nutritious food is beyond the extra expense of many people. Wish that is not so.

GM wheat is not grown in Australia. This fact is easily found from the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator (OGTR). You need to refer to “selective breeding” of wheat over the generations to prioritise certain characteristics like yield.

I wonder if selective breeding alters the genes. I have a friend who’s husband works in the field and he believes what they are doing to our food is is so close to GM it’s not funny. I’m very suspicious and think they can say it’s not GMO on a technicality.

danzinger israel first sold Golan and Gilboa gypsophila in Australia as non gmo, later they added the gmo part...also imported blended oils also have gmo oils in them. science cannot claim to be moral and ethical in all its doing - the same science that invented the atom bomb 😂

I understand but it can be sold in Australia and be in your food ??

@@vasilikaraventzas4598 my comment was restricted. gmo is in essential oils

@@vasilikaraventzas4598 drought tolerant GM variety currently grown in a couple of South American countries. For those that eat processed food it could be an ingredient but otherwise check that your flour is “made in Australia”.

Hi, a refractometer, are there different types, or does 1 type work for sugar, alcohol and everything. What is one looking for that must be above 12. I'm new on the block with this. Thanks, South Africa

A study I saw online explains mint peppermint containing methanol is like a minty flavoured Camphor though unlike spearmint that contains a compound to more sedate the mint peppermint has higher menthol levels that stimulate mildly by enhancing synthesis in the body of GABA a brain chemical promoting calm and restful ness and GABA is a vital nutrient source needed for mental processing also, plus menthol found in mint peppermint is a very mild alcohol kind of compound hence its disinfecting effects it also stimulates glutamate and glutamate effects the stomachs chemicals to help controlled digestion physically by making correct chemicals in the stomach and brain, but also I saw they did chemical analysis on menthols ability to produce dopamine and the study showed menthol simulated significant amounts of dopamine in test subjects, dopamine is a hormone produced by the adrenal gland that links mental processes to produce also positive feelings of pleasure and urges or senses of pleasure! Yay for mint I guess! Mint peppermint is a cross between spear mint and wild mint or water mint also as they say, water mint being a mint that likes moist dirt more and spearmint containing more carvone so I read but peppermint contains more menthol, it said online that the spearmints carvone is more mild but more calming compared to the menthol in peppermint that's more potent and mildly stimulating!
I got some mint peppermint from Qld seedlings settling in in a 40cm square self watering pot in grow light setup! I got mint peppermint germinating and will germinate spearmint later also!

Lettuce is crap anyway, it's bred to have nothing in it, even if grown properly. Better with something bred less like rocket. Many better green leafy alternatives. Probably shouldn't be eating stuff from grass, in an evolutionary sense, it's a very late comer to the table. If you do, less bred is better, those bred for quantity are poorer. Then it needs to be prepared properly, so most of the gluten is broken down, and has developed enzymes to break down the gluten in your intestines, as gluten intolerance is a lack of enzymes in the intestines. Antibiotics destroy gut flora, which doesn't get repaired. Alcohol is a huge problem, especially after Antibiotics. Non grass seeds like buckwheat are much more nutritious and don't cause digestion issues. Got to chew your food. Large problem with supermarkets is the lack of variety, so when you get into growing your own food, you should be growing types you can't buy first. Like you will be struggling to even find figs in the supermarket or even globe and Jerusalem artichoke

The reason is the living microbes are the only thing that make trace minerals and selenium that make the healthy food and the taste.
