I worked in Pampanga for three years. I really appreciate these people for holding up with nature just to retain and retrieve their source of livelihood,. oh how i miss Pampanga. The people are awesome, the foods are awesome and the place itself is awesome. Thank you Erwan and FEATR for letting me experience and regain back memories from this place again.
As someone from Minalin (a nearby town from Sasmuan that also relies on wetlands), this video hits close to home. Thank you for bringing light to this! It would be nice if other coastal towns of Pampanga such as, Macabebe, Masantol, Minalin, Guagua, and parts of Lubao, would also put in this much effort in protecting our wetlands
The community is firm on their beliefs for what they think would be better for their livelihoods and for their immediate environment. Sure, nobody wants to get left behind in technological progress, but they'd rather do it responsibly by coexisting with nature while minimizing the damage developments could bring to their sacred place. Thank you for bringing such a good story, FEATR! ❤
Born and raised in nearby town of Guagua now living in US, this segment reminds me of my childhood. Humbling and simple yet gratifying. Thank you for sharing this story.
Pampanga is well-known for its delicacies, concerned of natural resources. I've been living abroad almost 4 decades but my hometown food resources are best ever.
Very glad to feature this kind of one of the many problems need to focus by our government. This is the clean job and inherent from their origins and a great help to our environment from global warming. Please help our cabalen on this project.
i recall many WW2 stories of my mother. She was but a child during those days, and she remembers the whole barrio in Dau, Mabalacat pampanga had to travel by carabao cart to anywhere they can go. They ended up along the Arayat Mountain foothills, and there found endless supplies of Talangka, which provided them sustenance. The capampangans are known for cultivating these talangkas today, harvesting the meat and making buro the aligi.
Proud to be Kapampangan.Minalin,Pampanga.
May kamaganak kame dito pamangkin nang father ko ones in a while she bring us shrimp and alimango and blue Crabs one time we went there at fiesta we ride in bangka to cross the river And have fiesta celebration to our kamaganak ❤❤❤
I was grew up in sasmoan, and my job was catching shrimp in a called banku,a net with the bamboo cross, they called (SAKAG) we would catch for 3 days and we would cook the shrimp we caught so that they wouldn't spoil,we only earned 40 pesos for 3 basket. 1960,...i am 14 years old that time

WALANG FLOOD CONTROL DYAN,PARATING LUBOG,IT’S HARD TO NAVIGATE D ROADS BAKO BAKO ,BUTAS BUTAS NA AT MATUBIG PA,PROBLEMA PARATI SA MGA PUMUPUNTA DYAN ,IT HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR YEARS,I DON’T KNOW WHAT THEIR LGU’S R DOING.
Katarantaduhan! Wag nalamg galawin. Kesa s "progresibong tamang pamamaraan" eventually mapapasukan yan ng mga under the table na galawan. Wag tanggapin mga "developer" n yan
Isn't ironic? Maraming private investors, real estate developers and also the government is nakafocus sa house projects, transforming land farms, wetlands, and mountains into villages, subdivisions, condo buildings pero mas marami pa rin ang mga homeless na nagkalat sa maraming kalsada at mga nasa squatters area. 🤣🤣🤣

Villar has left the group 😅
Over population cannot afford sustainable development of the communities
Trivia:
The place is used to be called as S*XMOAN then changed to SASMUAN
