You'd think that if they actually wanted to sell the product they would have taken the time to re-shoot the video in a different location or NOT post the video - Duh!
He chipped the last two bricks cause he went too deep. The wider shaft of the tool hit the bricks. I think this is a good idea if your careful using it, he wasn't.
i mean this with the greatest respect,,how on earth have a company like bosch let you show that clip?you chipped the face of the brick?its miles too heavy a tool for lime mortar and how would you get the tool in tight joints.. its a glorified chisel.. good luck with you product!!
Plunge chisel works just fine to break out the “half moon”. Anyone else here do pointing work? Trying to decide if I want to spend the money on one of those fancy joint cutters. Dust be damned, I’m good with my 4” dwalt with the paddle switch and they are reasonable in cost to replace as they burn out.
It really depends but I’d say they last about two years. I usually have a few at a time. I cycle them out as to not over heat them. The dewalt is what I’m used to and it’s not crazy expensive
YA, SO OBVIOUS. THIS DEMO GUY EXPERT WITH THE EXPERT TOOL does just what the unprofessional guys can do. Har Har. Surprised they even posted this video.
Not only did you damage the brick but you're talking about having to replace the brick with a damaged face....no you turn it around and if the other side is undamaged you re-lay it. Simples.
i was facepalming the second he pulled out the hammer drill. i've been tuck-pointing since i was 17 years old, if you took that thing up against half the walls i've done with soft 200 year old bricks, the walls would crumble.
This video clip is about 8 seconds too long!🤣 I use my plugging chisels and my small brick hammer for this and it has worked like a charm for the last 30 years. Some things don't need improving.
Lmfao slow as shit!!! And totally ate your whole "keeping the brick in tact to save time and money" Lol thank Bosch for saving me an hour of my time lining up at the customer service desk of home depot taking that piece of crap back 😂😂😂
😕I think he just chipped the corner of the brick... I understand that this guy is a sales rep , not a contractor, but still.. it might not be a miracle Bosch tool after all .. ❓ Anybody, please, could post a reply with the link on how to do it properly and what tools to use?..I have cracked brick mortar and have to remove it and re-point. I have seen some expensive diamond router bits.. too expensive solution for a DIYer. THANKS
😂😂😂😂 completely destroys the face of the two bricks at the end
Lmfao
Dude he was just bitching about it too
😂😂😂 I noticed that too....
You need this tool so you don't spall bricks. *Immediately spalls brick*
It doesn't destroy the brick he says lol
You broke the brick, now you have to remove the brick to keep the architect happy. Lol
Legend has it the architect and engineer are still arguing over the best way to repair these bricks
Haha! Too funny! How to spall the brick, I thought that’s what we were trying to avoid
You'd think that if they actually wanted to sell the product they would have taken the time to re-shoot the video in a different location or NOT post the video - Duh!
that's their problem... Duh
Dint he just chip the brick at the end what a joke i ain't buy what your selling

He chipped the last two bricks cause he went too deep. The wider shaft of the tool hit the bricks. I think this is a good idea if your careful using it, he wasn't.
It should have depth control integrated into the system. But it doesn’t, so…
Broke the brick at the end
lol
Ooooops

How often do you go through grinders at this point ? Do you still go with deWILT
It really depends but I’d say they last about two years. I usually have a few at a time. I cycle them out as to not over heat them. The dewalt is what I’m used to and it’s not crazy expensive
I used a 1/2 inch masonry bit to get the half moons out. The red granite brand
We made our own hammer drill bits to do that back in the 1970's.
Looks like SD plugging chisel? Looks ok. Beats hand chisel.
Just needed to slap that title on at the end a bit quicker!
kinda reminds me of napoleon dynamites brother running over the tuperware with the van.
im ordering all the bits and then throwing them in the thames TPOS
That looked like it was coming from as soon as the video started.
Cameraman couldn’t cut quick enough there 🤣
Shocking demonstration by Mr clueless
Hahaha. This butcher just broke 2 bricks right at the end of the video.
YA, SO OBVIOUS. THIS DEMO GUY EXPERT WITH THE EXPERT TOOL does just what the unprofessional guys can do. Har Har. Surprised they even posted this video.

This video clip is about 8 seconds too long!🤣
I use my plugging chisels and my small brick hammer for this and it has worked like a charm for the last 30 years. Some things don't need improving.
Yes, you just showed us how to destroy the bricks face and you just condemned other masons for doing the same thing the right way.
Worst presentation ever!!
I think I'll pass 😂😂
haha thats all I have to say to this product
Surely but surely you could have edited the last 6 seconds out of the video.
😂😂😂😂 Best demo on UA-cam. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yup,best way to preserve those bricks is with a modified kango blade.
Genius....
Yaw I werk fer Bawsch! Jesus Christ that’s one hell of a Midwestern accent there, bud! Great job demonstrating how worthless that attachment is too.
Great way to do quick shitty repairs. Something we don't need more of.

WELL THERES THAT
He broke a brick. should have edited that out. OOOPS! Vibration is a killer on bricks. Especially old brittle bricks.
Made the job harder and more expensive by damaging two bricks, totally contradicted what he was saying
THANKS
It's just a plugging chisel been used on houses by joiners for 400 years 😂😂😂😂😂
Ridiculous....destruction of brick faces with the tool ! And what a disgusting mess of the pointing already done ! What a joke
Jajajaja que rompe el ladrillo me dejo imprecionado
Good job that, look's a awsome bit of kit 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤦♂️

Absolutely appalling
Mortar 'knife'.
Oops
Pointless useless chisel in his hands.......will cause much damage, as he proved !
What the fuck lol 😂
Too big, too inaccurate. Overall a bit shite.
Definitely won’t be f ink buying one of them 🤥
Hahaha, classic!
😂😂😂😂
An amateur could do a better job with a chisel
Lol All That Talk of not damaging the brick, you then broke the brick, useless tool. The Mortar knife isn't much good either. 😂😂😂
To much talk talk talk!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 fail
I’m back some how lol probably the worst demonstration ever
