Mary ordered Darnley to be murdered, and once he was she fled to Elizabeth who had promised would help her. But when Mary had wrote to Elizabeth for help she didn't know she would be fleeing from a murder charge. Elizabeth had Mary imprisoned at Sheffield Castle for 14 years. Elizabeth couldn't let Mary leave nor could she stay. On February 8, 1587, Mary Queen of Scots was beheaded for treason. Her son, King James VI of Scotland, calmly accepted his mother's execution. When Queen Elizabeth died in 1603 he became king of England, Scotland, and Ireland. The last episode of the series was heartbreaking, it was beautiful how they had Mary and Francis together in the end. ❤️Elizabeth won the battle, Mary won the war❤️
Some historians would say that Mary was impulsive, was lustful and THAT technically lead to her downfall while Queen Elizabeth really dedicated her whole life to her country & the era of Elizabeth was a great time for Britain. Mary didn’t really contribute much to her country.
Her story was so bittersweet yet so beautiful. It’s a new definition of love and soulmates it shows how far and how deep a love for someone goes. The bond between her and Francis was so strong that I felt her pain once he was gone and missed him sm with her
Ughhhhhhh I miss these ships: Frary Bash x Kenna Lola x Stephan Greer x Leith or Claude x Leith (whichever lol) Nostradamus x Olivia But I also miss Aylee and she’s such an underrated original character They literally killed off any OG character except for Bash and Catherine
