The way no one could replace Francis both broke and warmed my heart knowing she kept her promise to him that she was his and only his...and the fact they got to be together in the afterlife was so bittersweet and beautiful! It was such a deep and defining point in love. It was original I just it was so powerful something that defines the word love

Giving Francis 3 season was more then what would’ve happened in RL!!! He died at 16 and she was widowed at 18. If this show had 6 season he probably would’ve had 2.
They had to kill Francis’s off bc they were basing it on rl and back then he died at 16 and Mary got widowed at 18 so they had no choice but I do with they kept them on n they had kids xx
This has Shown the difference between both of Mary’s Partners very well loved Francis and Mary relationship and makes me want to rewatch the show again!
