1 ram character: who stands up for his dharma as a soldier of the country even if he does not have a kingdom
2 Sita character: not only vanavas but also who is ready for agnyathavas for her dear ram
3 varadhi(played by Sunil ): varadhi means bridge...he helps to find Sita in train station.... metaphorically he acts as ram setu bridge just like in Ramayan
4 durjoy Sharma(played by vennala Kishore) : he is a sugriv who gave shelter,gave instructions like jambavanth and a jatayu who knows clues about Sita
5 Major Selvan(played by Gautam vasudev Menon): he is like vasist, who is gur of lord Ram
6 brigadier y k(played by prakash Raj): he is like viswamitra who told lord Ram to war for dharma
7 brigadier Tariq: he is like vibhishan who is good guy in the opponent team
8 brigadier Vishnu(played by sumanth): he represents kaike who loves Rama but still is consumed by jealousy and hate who suffers for years after her husband's demise (in movie he is tortured by his own guild for 20 years)
9 the main villain aka terrorist: he represents ravan
10 hero's sister: she represents ahalya who turns from stone into human by lord sri ram touch(in movie she changes from prostitute to a caring mother because of ram)
11 Balaji(played by tarun Bhaskar) he represents Hanuman who makes sure that the ring reaches Sita( in movie he gives letter to Sita)
12 afreen: she is like valmiki who knows about Rama and from being a hunter he changes into person who writes Ramayan( just like afreen who changes from bad to good)
13 the letter: it's like ram bhan which always will anyhow reach its destination
This is how director inspired to make characters from taking qualities of ramayan.....his efforts needs to be appreciated. And songs bgm acting is top notch.

1) A good Pakistani soldier : it was in 1964 and every other pakistani Soldier or even president was bad and Tariq is the only person who loves his country and follows war rules and regulations... He did his duty that's it...
2) Indian army has already warned their soliders about the agreement still they sent Indian embassy person for exchange.. Indian army had never left their soldiers...

I think what you said is right here, but there was an issue with one scene. When they shoot Ansari the mastermind. There's this dialogue that Ram says that in your next life, you will try to understand it's (their holy book) teachings better something like that. But, they don't believe in reincarnation like we do. And whatever type of terrorism, they were doing was really based on what their holy book says, so yeah this bit is very much hypocritical and contradictory. I am sure the director wanted to balance that out which is why he made that scene. All in all it's very well-made and brilliant movie. Loved the love story and twist at the very end about Afreen. 😂😂

In real there are only secret missions by spies and not by army, India never deserts its own soldiers, India might have sent spies to Pakistan but never on such special missions where India leaves it's soldiers like that, may be in war pak may have caught Indian soldiers but never they caught them on special missions like these because India never sends it's army into the pak and deserts them. Infact Pakistan and china had deserted it's army in pok and at galwan respectively they don't even tell how many have died.

I don't think abandonment of soldiers on mission was problematic because it was established at the start of mission only that it was a one way road if they fails. Plus if you observe closely the mission was well within Pakistani borders as it took some days to travel unlike what is shown in URI. Also, efforts were made by to rescue those two and proposal was given by Indian diplomat.

@@Harshavardhan-nc1dw wrong. It is based on real murder of Thoomu Sarala who was killed by Naxals. There are several articles covering her murder. The only fiction he added is the possible love story. Because noone knows the intentions of Sarala akka in joining the dalam.
So it is a true story happened in Telangana. I have directly spoken with the journalists who covered the incident. That is one of the first cases where in Naxals openly killed a civilian. That is why several naxal sympathisers tried to hide the reason of murder but truth won't stop. Police used the event to kill the sympathy among people for Naxals.

Moreover, that is an event happened in our near past. These stories have to be told. Naxal movement is real and the sympathy for Naxals among the dalits and other lower strata communitues is also real. Also is the real the struggles of youth back then in the clutches of zamindari, patel, patwari, and other similar systems. Today we are living in a much better society in terms of equality.
Also, few months back in Rajasthan a 9years old kid was beaten to death by his own teacher for drinking water from Upper caste pot. If a movie is made on that event and shows caste system in bad light and talks about its roots in Manuvaad or in Ardha Shastra, is it propaganda or reality??

@@Harshavardhan-nc1dw see, here I am not supporting them but one should try to see things from broader perspective. Not everything is black and white. The atrocities caused by the people in the system made them to take up arms. People taking up arms need a different level of motivation. I will tell one example. In the visakha -chattisgarh corridor, govt has given mining permission in 17 places when I was a student back in 2004. But the actual mining happened in 172 places. Just imagine, how many tribal villages must have been vacated and how many people would have been displaced unofficially. Now, can anyone mine in so many places without the help from the system?? I myself read about 3 people who were killed because they raised their voice. That is why when whole world predicted BJP victory there, I was the lone person who said Congress will clean sweep. And that happened. But nothing changed probably because, that much mining would not have happened without the help of main opposition which is now the ruling party.
And guess what?? I keep on hearing about Naxal vs CRPF in Chattisgarh all through the course. Who is killing whom??

Just few days ago in my hometown, a TDP leader was attacked by YCP goons and he is on his verge to loose his one eye. Police was not ready to take action against the goons. Since, it was a political leader they have taken action. But, few months ago in Kurnool district a forest officer ran the jeep on a Muslim farmer for questioning him. So far no action is taken on him.
If you think, I am biased for TDP, I can tell actions from their rule also. I can list out incidents from TN, Kerala, under Congress, under BJP, under CPM, under every party.
So what I conclude is, see those events in the history with a broader mindset and understand all sides. Then only, we can go forward. By killing all naxal, the problem will never go away. only by creating a class less or caste indifferent society and by not interfering into the rights of tribal we can stop it completely. That's the harsh reality of the nature, as long as exploitation is there we see more such movements some peaceful and some violent,.
Why we fought against British?? When chalukyans were took over by chozhans (more violent), we never fought for freedom right?? Then why against British?? Why against Azam Shahi (we were happy under Qutub shahi)?? It is because of the exploitation.

This movie is a poetry in motion. A lot of subjects were covered in pure poetry. If you didn't get it then i suggest to watch it once again.
I may be wrong, but i found many parallels with Ramayana in this film.
For example, the Pak army man was like Vibhishana in Lanka.
I loved the picturization of "Kurukshetram lo ravana samharam, Yuddhapu velugullo Sita Swayamvaram". This is wow for me.

In my honest opinion, this movie was extremely problematic, It's sugarcoated potrayal of the Kashmir Situation, There's an attempt to justify kashmiri Militancy and radicalisation, Hamesha terrorists ko aise kyu dikhaya jata hai ki wo bina jaane sab karahe hai (bhatke hue naujawan) , jabki wo ache tarah se jaante hai ki wo kis rah par chal rahe hai , they're extremely clear about their ideologies. ALSO THE MOST PROBLEMATIC THING WAS when Rama during his last meeting with Sita tells her "SATI WAS ABOLISHED LONG AGO" henceforth pushing the Sati agenda , there are no evidences of Sati being practiced in our Sanatana Dharma and neither there exist any scriptures which condone the Practice.
