34:36 the only reason I haven't SBR'd my truck gun is because I travel state to state often and I don't have the time to notify every state I travel to
Yeah that's the biggest advantage of AR pistols but you could just put a brace on a registered SBR and I'm pretty sure that's allowed in most states. I could be wrong though.
Now the problem is many supressors are out of stock. I went to Silencer Shop and looked at the 5.56 suppresssors. They carry 89 different models of those only 15 are in stock with many only having a few left.
Really enjoyed this conversation. I wish all ATF were as down to earth as this young lady. And I do have a James Willey Gun trust from gun trust guru. Glad to hear the ATF likes these.
Bought my first suppressor online. Took 6 months to get to my FFL/SOT. Then 11 months for paperwork. My second suppressor I went through Capitol Armory had it in 7 months. Submitted eform for #3 last week hoping it's faster
To claim that law circumventing and refusing to pay a TAX STAMP is the only reason behind defending"Pistol Braces" is a lazy argument. Was great to hear how transporting and SBR outside the state of registry requires additional approval by the ATF. But compared that to the beauty of visiting a state that shares reciprocity without any explanation. Like is the case of Silencers and Firearms including pistol braces. Some States and US Territories like Puerto Rico will not allow you to own SBR’s period. Not saying this is and ownership majority but, it’s a substantial group of people who will not be able to own what was claimed to be legal when purchased. So the argument of "pin and weld your muzzle or get a long barrel Dude.." is undermining reality. Sometimes It’s not all about you brother.
no one cares for pistol braces tbh. and what is ever dumber, is that if the federal govt says 'yeah your good to go with this weapon' why do I need to notify other states that I have it with me? The federal govt already checked me out and said I could have it.
Perhaps no one in your circle.. But the thousands of people that commented and submitted their oppositions when the ATF had and opened forum seems to care very much. Also FPC & GOA membership, among 25 States that are currently suing the federal government over gun brace regulation. BTW.. The additional permission is not granted from the State you’re visiting.. Is a request to same agency that authorized your possession. Application to Transport Interstate or to Temporarily Export Certain NFA Firearms (ATF Form 5320.20)
I've got 8 cans currently (all filed as "Individual"), of which 4 took standard waiting times (6-months to 11-months). However, I ordered 4 other cans at the same time a few months ago (November-2023) and all 4 of those were approved by the same individual within 15-days of filing my paperwork for all of them. I also recently submitted 2 new Form-4's (December-2023 & February-2024), in addition to a Form-1 for an SBR I'm working on (March-2024 filing). Sadly, none of those 3 recent filings have been approved yet. So, who knows what's going on.
The approvals are speeding up to reduce the averages because the courts and members of congress are putting pressure on them The easiest way to force the average down is to reduce it from the front end and not the back
I always had a thought that if suppressors were removed from the NFA everything would be out of stock for 2 years. Either way its a long wait minus the cost of the stamp. Bottom line, if you actually want a suppressor buy it today.
The reason for the BUYER to have an eforms account in a form4 transaction is simply for that Buyer to get update emails from the ATF on certain milestones of the application process. “Submitted Pending” “Approved” Etc. It keeps you the buyer from solely relying on the minimum wage rotating employees at many dealers to inform you that your stamp is approved.
2021 paper … waited to see how eform went , 2023 was next.. than ended up at 11 1/2 months again on a trust. In 21’, my hunting partner ordered his 2 weeks after I did ( single)and got it in 5 months. So I had to hunt unsuppressed for months while he had his 😂
Reduced wait times do not make up for the fact it’s unconstitutional and pointless. I’m an optimist, and I hope this is the ATFs last ditch chance at a cash grab because they know their time is coming. So a couple thousand or 10,000 + more suppressors and “SBRs” in common use don’t help their case.
Suppressors make everything better. One of the many ways you and I meld, Wade. You and I are the same person. If we were to join forces the world would be ours for the taking. Your fantastic beard, unrealistic fantasy-oriented Narnia like perception of all things regarding coyote hunting plus my pragmatic outlook, inability to miss a target and irresistible wink. The shooting world is our oyster. Red pill or Blue pill, Wade?
Wade the point isn't about the brace itself. The point is they cant make up laws. Or rules that have penalties to them. That are not already done by Congress.
The way the ATF gets around that is by "redefining" what they consider a 'stock' or a 'machine gun'. They know they can make laws or rules so they just change the verbiage to fit their higher ups wants.
I have a trust. If i want to add someone to it; how does that process work? I know there is an amendment page that has to be notarized, but what about the background check?
I’m getting a Leupold mark5 3.6-18 and going to use the area 419 one piece mount would you recommend the 1.26” height or the 1.54” going to be running it on an AR
All my previous suppressors took between 4-11 months. My last one only took 4 days. Its awesome.
34:36 the only reason I haven't SBR'd my truck gun is because I travel state to state often and I don't have the time to notify every state I travel to
understandable, hence why people prefer to leave them as pistols. The SBR law is retarded anyway.
Exactly

If I lived in Texas I'd do it. Read and learn the constitution people, it's a state right

I didn’t have a same day but 2 weeks ago I got my approval in 42hrs and was absolutely ecstatic to not have to wait the normal 6ish or more months
"...normal 6 months..." Show me one time in the history of humanity where the ATF approved a can in 6 months until right now.
Friend of mine was 36hrs as an individual

I filed my Eform 4 paperwork on Monday the 1st and was JUST approved, right now. I checked my email while watching this video. Unreal.

likely your original cans that you ordered are still in queue within their old process. They'll come eventually.
This is was freaking great. Thought I was the only person in America who thinks bump stocks and braces are stupid till I watched this.

It's been 20 days, and they haven't even certified it yet...
Thanks for the information.

I wish this was all true but it's not I've been waiting over 50 days so far
I just bought mine today... il get back to you when I get mine. Did u do a individual eform 4 and do the fingerprints and pic same day?
I’ve done paper and eform- trust … 11 1/2 months each . Fun guest.. wish she could have done mine 😂.
how long ago? Paper will usually always take longer provided they haven't completely phased it out.

the new wait times - suppressors to be in stock
Love the tpc podcast. when your an addict predator hunter this is the crack. lmfao. best content. Keep coming back, it works if you work it.
Armed Scholar does pretty regular updates on the Texas suppressor lawsuit.
I stopped watching him because of all of the click bait he posts, annoying af.
@@jamesboyce9186 Yeah and doing a ten min vid for a 20 sec update gets old too. But if you want a detailed update he does a decent job.
@@jamesboyce9186Very annoying
He's a clickbait whore. Lies every thumbnail or title every time basically
Wyoming has that state statute too.

@@tphpodcast You are using him for his looks. I care about his feelings and don't want him to be wrong all the time anymore.

Justice Jackson Brown let it slip the other day, come June Chevron is overturned. The only question is whether or not this will be retro active.
