The Largest Mosque in Cambodia (& a delicious halal lunch!)

- I'm exploring the largest mosque in Cambodia. The Al-Serkal Mosque in Phnom Penh is a beautiful building with many daily visitors. When I arrived, the call to prayer was happening. There wasn't a huge number of people praying - in Cambodia only about 2% of the population is Muslim.
After exploring the mosque, I head to a neighboring restaurant for some Cambodian halal food.

Cambodia are pretty chill about religion they don’t care what you believe they just be chilling
They usually accepts and incorporates all religions into their own.
Khmer people are super chill.
@@EvanCharm Chill.
Cambodia had a Muslim king in the medieval time who had converted from Buddhism but his brothers killed him.

Mosques always have the most impressive carpets ever. Really cool thanks!!
Super cool video. I'm in Central Wisconsin on my lunch break and I totally appreciate learning a little about Cambodia through your videos. Thanks.
Ryan, always excited to see yet another upload! Love the direction you are taking with the channel.. These spontaneous videos of you walking around and sharing your thoughts and experiences are very interesting to watch. I really love your sense of humor, some people might find it too much and offensive sometimes but I break my back laughing at your jokes.
Anyways, keep up the good work. You are a true inspiration to me and my girlfriend as early content creators for UA-cam based in Southeast Asia. We might come back and live in Cambodia in a few months as well, your channel has been very useful and informative so far.
Okay, end of my ramble. Just wanted to share my appreciation for you as a person and the channel (and the wife on the barfbus, bless her soul and your nostrils).
I also find it offensive when you end your vlogs with comb your hair, I have none and have a receding hairline. Should I comb my toehair or will you finally be offering alternatives?
Greets, Sebastian
Cambodia is pretty chill they accept different religion and sexual orientation. The ethnic minorities in Cambodia don’t have crazy uprisings against the government like Myanmar because they are respectful to each other. The Cham people have equal opportunity and freedom as the Khmers and other. You don’t hear s Cham complaining about discrimination.
Nice video about Beautiful mosque in Combodia
The food looks yummy 🤤
Thanks for showing us!
The State Religion of Cambodia is Buddhism. But Cambodia allows Freedom of Religion. This is the test of Civilization.
You've gotten better!
This is so cool! I’m loving these new videos, keep up the great work!
Thanks for your visit CAMBODIA ❤ 🇰🇭 🙏🙏🙏
This one is cool.
So beautiful the mosque is. Mosques really increase the beauty of a city. In fact a mosque is a symbol of peace and tranquility.
@userone1170: What you just wrote is the exact opposite of reality.
Perhaps a large Church in the middle of Mecca would be a good addition to the beauty of that City.. Ya think ?.
@@abw48 how do you dare to add the church where nothing heavenly is observed except what is forbidden by God?
Buddhist Temples also increase the beauty of the landscape. Majority of Western tourists that visit Buddhist Asia have visits to Buddhist Temples as part of their iteinary.
Korean Buddhist Temples offer Temple Stay programs in mountain based retreats.Heavenly experience.
Nice
Great building
I Love Your Life!
Best wishes 🎉

Insya Alloh... I will meet cambodia moslem... Soonest... Salam from indonesia
Beautiful masha Allah
Thank you for visiting the Masjid in Cambodia. One cool fact about Islam for me is that the Quran has 114 Chapters and the center chapter which is chapter 57 is called Iron. The center of the Quran is called Iron. Modern science recently caught up and found that the Earth's core is made from Iron.
I can read "Padang Nusantara"
Salam alaikum, brother! I
NATION RELIGION KING
That's the government letter head.
It doesnt matter what your religion is in Cambodia, just have one, have a moral compass.
At the same time it is illegal to prosyletise in The Kingdom, so, evangelists beware. Spread your message don't push your agenda.
If you want to see a lot of mosques go to Kg Cham.
If you want to eat halal food in an airconditioned environment then there's Mamak's Corner at the low end (still excellent) and the Himawari Hotel at the high end.
It is interesting to note that the traditional head dress for Cham women has changed "recently", from a simple checkered turban (handy for carrying baskets) to well covered head scarves and even full burkas (thankyou Saudi Arabia?) The men have appropriated the wearing of songkoks...they never used to.🤔
If you yearn for regular, loud calls to prayer immerse yourself in the uber Islam Cham village at K10 north of PNH past Russei Keo and the CTN TV station studio. I recommend prohok fermentation season for a truly immersive, olfactory experience.
Great episiode. Thanks!
They're not known to be streakers 😂 well, if it's a child, then, religion aside, hahahaha.
So if you are going to use the term Muslim (follower of Islam), the majority being ethnic Cham ( they prefer Cham to Muslim) no doubt doubt you will refer to those attending the Wat as Buddhist, churches as Christian etc.?
many muslims go to wat because they volunteer or there family is a buddhsit or a funeral or khmer new year. same goes to christians and hindus. many buddhist go to church too with teh same reason the muslims go to wat/ we even got to do a buddhist funeral at a church in america.
@@freetuktukservice This will shock many people. I also saw a major Muslim movie star go to the temple to pray for his ancestors. Khmers have long been multi-racial, they don't care who follows what religion
Might you have some Turkish heritage?
Miaaaammmm
Retired healthcare here, 🤔🙃you will have some changes of heart on your deathbed about your beliefs. Seen it so often.....
Desperate times...
The thoughts that those that are very close to the end have shared with me through the years (and are Still cognizant) never seemed to come out of desperation, they usually seemed calm and simply experienced a shift in their perspective right at the end. Biggest regrets, how they treated their family's, and what they spent their time on through their life. Memories last forever, make good ones.... And your recent work really does seem of a higher quality. I recently rewatched "The Graduate" and it was much better than I remember it being.... It was an ok watch, maybe I just cannot stand the sound of Simon and Garfunkel 🤔. Incredibly depressing music IMO....@@itchyfeetonthecheap

Thai don't know anything.
The word islam means submission and halal means the animal you ate was killed in a very cruel manner...
