- Starting in 1915, 500,000 to 1.5 million ethnic Armenians living in Turkey were killed or expelled from their ancestral lands, where they'd lived mainly peaceably with the Turks for centuries. Armenians call the slaughter genocide; Turks say it was the consequence of the larger war, in which many groups, including Turks, suffered terribly. Five of the few remaining Armenian survivors reflect on the horrors they faced fleeing their homeland as children and on what life has been like for them in exile.

You can't just blame one group of people, you have to blame humanity. Throughout history there had always been genocides and mass killings. Ignorance, hatred, and envy feul these tragic occurences. You would think that in modern times people would be more accepting and educated but history always seems to repeat itself. The roles just change but the oppression stays unchanged.

NG you should try to conjure up a documentary of the millions of Bosnians, Montenegrins, and even Albanians killed during the 1994 Bosnian War. To have such cruelty occur and have delayed reaction to it in a modern century was appalling.

As a Turk, I love both Ermenians and Greeks. If I see one in need, I would do all I can to help. It is true that hundreds of thousands of Armenians and Greeks were killed by Turks with help by Kurds and Circassians. It is as true as the death of 5 million Turks (and Kurds) between the years 1908 and 1920. Turks were massacred by many nations such as French, English, Australian, Italian and several others including Greeks and Armenians. Seperation was bloody, but mutually horrible. Let's always remember the past without letting them get in the way of friendship today.

Armenians claim territory from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia and
Iran (South Azerbaijan) where together 130 million people live. Also, they say
1,5 million Armenians were killed in 1915. Now in Armenia lives 3,0 million
people. Question is how they had lived on such huge area having just total 4,5
million population. Looks like they were very rich and each family had at
least one village. Additionally, there is no history and documents proving that
Armenians had any Government or Country before until Armenia SSR which was
built after 1917. Interesting part of the question is that why territories
of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Iran has been claimed if there had not been any
Armenians killed on those areas. Contrary, they killed 700 civilian
Azerbaijanians in Khojaly in 1992.
