Linear for me. Slower sensitivity settings and higher build and editing settings. Slow ads settings with a tiny bit of boost. Editing and building, flick shotting is so much easier.

The best aspect of exponential is the fact that it is insane with shotgun and smg hip fire. If u barrel stuff and just hip fire you will not miss a shot.
Jed Daniels i hipfire with linear with smgs and shotguns and easily hit all shots... accuracy with linear is honestly better once you get used to it and tinker with settings... that’s what i did and my accuracy is insane

Exponential or Linear settings? I JUST LEARNED THIS IN MATH
Good that means you should actually understand what it does. Essentially linear reaches a higher speed than exponential does at mid stick push(halfway between centered and full push) This is why linear is better for flicks/builds and exponential is better for tracking/smoothness

Left paddle build/edit. Right paddle jump, so you can turn/aim while jumping. Been doing that on any game where being able to turn while in the air gives an advantage
I have been debating this a while now !
I got jump bound to my right paddle on PS4 and edit mode on left. I had to learn them one at a time and it took a solid 2-3 months to get them down. My reset edit is clicking in right analog stick. I use exponential and am a pretty decent player in my opinion

i can 100% confirm that the longer you play linear the easier it gets even in less than a week your aim with it will get better and in the long run at least for me it helped my aim a lot it feels more natural

Starting Fortnite 2 I'm playing linear and it rocks for me! I just have to change my sens from 40% to 10% +\- and it feels good with tracking and hip fire is pretty constant.

Its ptetty low but if he has a higher ads/lower deadzones/no dampening, then the overall sens is much higher than 10%. Personally, im running 30% x/y and a 5% ads, but im running linear with 0 dampening time

I loved Linear for editing and building-- when it comes to box fighting, Linear is definitely the best-- but I just can't hit my AR shots so it's not worth it for me and I sticked with Exponential...
I wish you could turn linear on only for building and editing...

@@lbreindl6 When I tried it though I was playing on the same ads sens wich is 18% both... Maybe I'll try it again with a lower ads sens... The problem I felt is that it was almost impossible to do very small adjustments at range because no matter how little input you apply to the joystick it always moves at full ads speed so it would have to be super slow but then that would be bad for close range fights especially with Smg...
I don't know I'm gonna try it out again with different sens see if I can find one that works for me...

Tracking is good for exponential or linear. You just need to get used to linear.
I have been having excellent aim using first shot accuracy, but that’s it. No trailing and bloom is insane afterwards. Agree 110% about the building. It seems like I am on PC. Silky smooth. Gonna give expo a shot tonight.

wow I been playing linear since the settings came out and I love it, I do have times where I still miss a ton of shots tho, so I might experiment with exponential.

I edit with l1 lol. Only change is that I use Touch pad for cones and switch weapons to the left, to free up l1 fir my edit bind. I do play right hand claw so I claw the touch pad when I use it.

Aye bro, nick, I’m not no professional in controller settings or whatever you know, but when I first got my elite 1, my brain could not register 4 paddles AT ALL bro. Especially in fortnite where you have a whole bunch of different settings, so instead I’m telling you man, a game like modern warfare or any FPS, if you put all 4 on and get used to just that setting on it. Let’s say my right lower paddle is for crouching cause I use tactical. So on Xbox that’s b. If you get used to that paddle being b or O on ps4, you can transfer that memeory muscle to fortnite. I promise you it works. I can edit with it now and then the other 3 isn’t so difficult. Like put triangle on lower left and use it to switch weapons and then carry that to switch to pick axe. That’s how I got it man. Only problem is if you use another setting on that paddle it’s hard to get back used to man.

My biggest weakness was Shotgun Aim, so i tried Linear and Holy Shit, i Hit almost all my Shots now. It feels so much smoother for me, so i will stay on Linear.

And then i have a 1.7 Building Multiplier and a 1.4 Editing Multiplier

the best thing about linear is smg tracking obviously as well as no lag in movement but you have to put your look dampening time on 0.05 so you dont get dizzy

Nick I would recomend to confirm edits with a trigger. It would be faster than clicking one button twice and double edits would become way easier
Teemu Ojaniitty try using “release to confirm” so once you do an edit it’ll just immediately confirm when you release the trigger. I started using that and it’s nice as hell.

@@MrAdam6751 Yes you can. If you're using linear its raw stick input. It theoretically gives you the highest potential for micro adjustments. Its skill ceiling is higher because of this giving you more control than the other two. Also exponential is in a way like the legacy controls. Which people are used too already.I swapped to linear day 1 and I'm straight up better at everything. I learned how to actually shoot with Ars. Also we still haven't seen how far linear can go since alot people most recently started switching to it.
@@levelfourteen I play on Linear since last season too and I know it for sure my long mid range accuracy never gonna be as good as on exponential. Linear has it's drawbacks. And precision is one of them. And it's impossible to make the same micro adjustments like on exponential. Even if I lower my ads to the point where it's too slow for tracking. If epic would give us the option to change our ads response curve while keeping the others at linear probaby all linear players would change it.
