should make this clear. anyone under the age of 14, don't worry about dieting unless you are obese. just eat more healthy foods and be more active. if you are 15 + and want to lose weight it's very simple. Follow these 3 steps:
1- eat in a caloric deficit (use tdee calculator to find maintenance and subtract 500-1000 calories from your maintenance. use a calorie tracker like my fitness pal to track your calories)
2- drink plenty of water and get 8+ hours of sleep a night
3- do cardio to increase the amount of fat you lose, but if you don't want to look skinny fat/have a bunch of loose skin, lift some weights as well

NOTE DONT SUBTRACT 1000 CALS, SUBTRACT 300-500 IF YOU SUBTRACT TOO MUCH YOU WILL START TO LOSE MUSCLE AND DAMAGE YOUR BODY SO ONLY GO INTO A DEFICIT OF 500 CALORIES MAX...

you can burn fat with lifting so I don't see the general point of cardio except maybe helping the heart but even then fast reps in strength training is better than running or whatever

@@hlzeno6748 Thats not true, Youll gain weight with weight training and weight loss is out goal here, weightliffint, that should come after.. Like just lose weight and then you can think alr i wanna build some muscle but cardio burns wayyyy more cals than working out dude lol

@@DevTakeFlightEducational Absolutely false. It is like eating in a caloric deficit to lose weight. You have to eat in a caloric surplus to gain weight, you can‘t gain weight by just simply weight lifting. Lifting weights while staying in a caloric deficit should be more important to maintain your muscle mass, otherwise your body is gonna break down muscle to a certain degree…

also, if you’re trying to lose weight, it's better to not sleep straight after eating, wait like an hour or so..

I've personally lost a lot of weight in the past 2 years and what he said is completely true. However, I think it would be nice to expand a little bit upon that. First of all, while being in a calorie deficit will make you lose weight, note that not all of it will necessarily be fat. If you don't eat for a long period of time, you will initially start to burn fat but after a while, you'll also start burning muscle. This is why experts recommend intermittent fasting where every once in a while, where you stop eating for 16 hours (just skip dinner basically) so it's just enough to lose a bit of fat but not too long that you start burning muscle as well. Note that what you eat is also important. Proteins are really important to building muscle, so it's important to have them after a workout. Carbohydrates and fat have only one purpose and that's to be used as energy. Contrary to common belief, you can replace almost all your carbohydrates with fats. The only thing is fat is much more calorie dense and you might have other problems since a lot of highly fatty foods tend to have a lot of LDL (bad cholesterol) for example. For every gram of carbohydrates there are 4 calories. For every gram of fat there there are 9 calories. Personally, what I like to do is, since I play rugby outside of school, I usually have a lunch with lots of carbohydrates and fats so I can make the most out of mh afternoon training by trying to damage as much muscle tissue as possible. A lot of times, I also do a workout afterwards. Then, in the evening, I eat protein rich foods like chicken breast so I can rebuild this muscle. It's crucial to get enough sleep at this point because your muscles mostly repari in your sleep. On my days off, I usually do some intermittent fasting so I can also lose a bit of fat. While it is true that being in a calories deficit is essentially what's going to make you lose weight, these little tips are definitely gonna help

    Don’t go on a diet. ⚠️
Burn more calories than you consume. (Exercise more, eat less)
Sleep early and at least 7 hours of sleep.

@@dyl.k7 its obvious if you eat oily and fast food that contains a lot of oil, this starts filling in your blood streams, so eventually it will fill up near the heart and lead to a heart attack.
The more it fills up more the cholesterol level. I recommend to watch Dr. Mike's video on cholesterol ( entertainment video )
