  • Nenad got a deep target signal, so decided to test the various sensitivity settings. Also see how targets sound with and without an audible Threshold in the Auto options. And maybe a late "surprise" as well.

    Fantastic mate.
    Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
    I am heading to Victoria goldfields Saturday morning.
    Wish me luck..

    Thanks for video..
    What I can say is;
    For this kind of money this detector costs which is just below $8,000 Au,
    you'd think it wouldn't be less complicated, right... It doesn't gel with me, so I don't think it's worth it, to be honest..

    Thanks so much for this! I don’t have this machine yet - after watching hundreds (yes) of the 6000 vids in the past year, none have explained the operation as well as yours. Thanks!

    Sorry late comment mate. Always great, expert, informative videos. The Newbies need to take note and learn from a guy that doesn’t fk around trying to find whether the target is in the scoop or the hand. So many frustrating UA-cam gold detectors experts out there that crucify their videos with scoop, hand , lost and back to square one! ☝️

      Thanks for watching and your comment. I occasionally get the tricky ones that just don't want to be uncovered! All part of the fun

    Cool vid on the new 6000 bud. So no discrimination on them? Just that it comes with the 14”DD or is it the same as the Zeds with none? Hopefully will be buying 1 or 2 of the 6000 soon but keeping the Zed & the 5000

    • @diggingwithphasetech
      @diggingwithphasetech  3 роки тому

      No disc at all mate. The 14 DD is for cancelling bad EMI, working close to electric fences etc. Or switch to Salt cancel for salty conductive soils.

    Thanks for that Nenad, very helpful.
    You might have just convinced me to blow $7999:00 (Aussie).
    A pity spare battery's are in short supply at the moment, and zero protective covers (April 2021 in Australia)....
    Stay safe..

    Nice video, thanks for uploading. Would like to see a comparison of using difficult and normal ground setting. Also, if you press and hold the quick-track button, does the ground balance go into fixed for pinpointing like the previous GPX when in tracking? Cheers.

    • @diggingwithphasetech
      @diggingwithphasetech  3 роки тому

      No, it's like the SDC, where it is slow tracking all the time, and pressing the Quick-trak puts it into a faster rate of tracking.

    One year ago? Only just come up in my feed!
    Auto 1 is underrated, particularly in noisy ground. Everyone forgets that A1 turns the sensitivity up as well as down, in effect your running in maximum power for a smooth threshold all the time.
    Without threshold you need to listen for a different target response, just a little beep of lift like ground noise but repeatable so double check every peep of noise.

    • @diggingwithphasetech
      @diggingwithphasetech  2 роки тому +1

      I can't detect without a threshold, too late to train my ears on that. In either Auto option, I get too much EMI coming through, so I prefer manual as I can ride it up or down depending on conditions.

    • @shipoffools2183
      @shipoffools2183 2 роки тому

      You have more experience with most machines than almost anyone else, so your more in tune with the threshold to tune it up or down.
      I’ve been told by others that they get to much EMI on auto, but mine runs smooth as only 7000’s to close upset it. I’ve even don

      Done a video under 66Kva power lines in auto.
      My first PI was a Whites Tdi Oz pro, the threshold wasn’t stable and I would tune down to the other side (no threshold) I still like that machine and I learnt what the controls actually are.

    • @diggingwithphasetech
      @diggingwithphasetech  2 роки тому +1

      The TDI had potential, it just wasn't going to cut it in bad ground. Too much depth loss when you start applying ground balance. Also the threshold was difficult to set as about 1/10 of a turn of the pot made it go from silent to too loud. Needed to be a 3 3/4 turn for a more accurate adjustment. TDI S/L was actually more stable and a heck lighter, I expected Whites to expand on that one but it never happened. All they did was release a limited creamy gold coloured control box version with a new style coil, and then shortly after they were history.

    Any thoughts on the 11" mono coil eg is it bundle wound or spiral wound or if they have chipped it like the 7000 .

    • @diggingwithphasetech
      @diggingwithphasetech  3 роки тому +1

      Don't know if the 11" is spiral wound, but sure performs like one. I'm sure there is some sort of security device in the coil.
